We are having a chocolate cake made for us by a girl at work for our wedding. She's a baker, not a decorator, so she's in a pinch. Its to be chocolate and more chocolate, with chocolate ganache layers inside and chocolate frosting outside. (You'd expect it to be insanely sweet, but its not.) Anyways, its a holiday themed wedding, working with Apple Red, white, and Hunter Green. We are using pinecones to tie in the brown of the cake, perhaps with "snow" tips. Its a three layer. How would you suggest I have her decorate it? We aren't coming up with any good ideas.

He's in Iraq right now & and we'll be engaged shortly after he gets back.

I'm 18. he's 20.

I know that everyone says this (especially when they're young)..

but it's different for us.

we've been together for 3 years.

For almost 1/2 of our relationship he's been in boot camp, AIT & Iraq.

Everyone is amazed by our love for each other.

But like I said. We're 18 & 20. I know that divorce rates are high when you marry young.

He wants to get married next year.

But we're young. We don't have money.

I don't want him to spend all his hard earned Iraq $ on a wedding that is only like 7 hrs long. By the time we get married we'll have enough money. but I kind of want to wait.

If we don't get married next year, we will have to wait another 3 b/c he'll be deployed again within 2 years.

I'm a virgin, we've never had sex. He's my first kiss, my first boyfriend, my first love, everything. Should I wait or should I go with my heart? i know we'll make it regardless.

I often see people with 'theme' colours for wedding, 'chocolate' and various shades of blue being the most popular. I wonder if these people realize 'chocolate' simply amounts to brown. Like dirt. Haha. :) What are some lesser used colours? I'm already set on my colour scheme (rainbows, sure! Haha, kidding ;D) but am curious of the ideas of others. :)

This might sound Like wierd colors, but would tuorquoise for the bridesmaid dresses and orangeish flowers go together? I wanted to add orange for the fall, but i love tuorquiose for the main color. If that is ugLY i will porbably do white and pink with it instead.

Hey guys I'm throwing a bachelorette party for one of my friends. I want to play a game called How well do you know the groom? Could you give me ideas of questions to ask the groom? I would use these questions during the party by asking everyone how many questions the bride will get right, then ask the bride the list of questions to see how well she knows the groom. Thanks for your help in advance!!

and I'm really not that stressed. Not that I'm complaining, but everyone has been telling me that brides always get really stressed this close to the wedding. I am getting really excited and just slightly nervous, but not stressed out.
I've contacted the florist and the flowers are good. Paid for and all arrangements made.
The gal baking my cake knows the plan and has already started making the decorations. (They are non-edible picks that go all over the cake.) Also paid for.
The pastor has everything on his schedule.
My dress is already fitted and pressed, waiting to be put on.
My fiance's tux arrangements are set. We go on the twentieth for final fitting and pick up. (The weddings on the 25th.)
The decorations are all set, just have to put them up the day before. The reception is cake and punch and the church women's group is taking care of that.
The rings are with my mom.
The bridesmaids and groomsmen have their clothing set.
The invitations were sent out.

Since the Catholic Church does not recognize any marriage outside of their Church, does this mean if a person has been married and divorced outside the Catholic Church, they can get married in a Catholic Church if they choose to?

I'm the maid of honor for my mother's wedding. I need to set up a bachelorette party that will be the sickest party that no one will forget. The crowd is going to be mostly 40-somethings, and I don't really want to go to any "inappropriate" places. Any ideas??

I'm trying to plan our wedding but everything is so outragiously priced around here, I'm feeling completely defeated. Does anyone have any suggestions or contacts that might help? I don't really want to do a restraunt reception but I can't really be choosy. I want something elegant and fun that won't cost an arm and a leg...is that too much to ask?

I'd appreciate any suggestions and at this point any time of year will work. We have 150 - 200 guests we want to invite but that can definetly narrow it down. PLEASE HELP!

I just wanted to know if someone out there agrees or feels I was in the wrong. Me and my husband were invited to a wedding(my brother's), and we got an invitation. Then, the day before the wedding we found out(not from the bride/groom), that they were having a rehearsal and family dinner, but we were not invited. Well, there were other issues with them before this, and then this happens and we don't go to the wedding. A couple days later, I confronted him and he told me that it was "word of mouth". I told him that everyone else knew about it. Come to find out later that his wife told everyone else about it, but not us, and she told my brother that she told us...LIE!!!! He also said that we should have asked if they needed help, to which I replied that they know what they want, they should be the one's asking...I did for my wedding. Was I wrong for not going, or would you have felt the same?
