The Catholic Church recognizes marriage outside of their Church. They just don't recognize it as a Catholic marriage. It's not like the Catholic Church is saying "Oh, those two Baptists over there aren't really married."

The Catholic Church recognizes marriages outside of the church as a marriage, just not a Catholic marriage. If someone has been married and gets divorced, they can still marry in the Catholic Church. Then the marriage will be recognized as a Catholic marriage.

The Catholic Church recognizes marriages done outside the church. If two people are married, there is no option for divorce, and the Catholic Church will not marry anyone who is divorced. They can issue an annulment, which declares that a marriage is "null", and there are certain conditions that must be met for this to be declared. Once a marriage has been declared null, the people involved are free to marry. No.
The Catholic Church believes that God does not recognize civil divorces.
Jesus said, "Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." (Mark 10:9)
However there may be hope of a declaration of nullity.
The term "annulment" is a misnomer because the Church does not undo or erase a marriage bond.
Rather the Church issues a declaration of nullity when it discovers that the parties were not truly joined by God and hence a full spiritual sacramental marriage as understood by the Church was not present.
Then the parties are free to marry for the first time.
With love in Christ.

If you have been divorced even if never married by church but by the county the catholic church still has to issue a void marriage certificate so you can get married by the catholic churchSo yes you can get married but there is a process and yes you have to be confirmed and baptised to do so.

if you've been divorced, YOU CAN still marry in the catholic church....As long as you weren't married in a catholic church before...You would have to convert though...you would have to get baptized, fist communion and confirmed...the catholic church believes you can only marry once in the catholic church, so no divorce after....But they also believe if you are married through the courts it is not accepted by god...You would still be living in sin....I know this because I married in the catholic church about 1 year ago(i was living in sin for 5 years)...though every diocese has different way of doing stuff...

Probably not. They will still recognize a legal marriage and divorce. Though it is NOT required that you be Catholic to marry in their church, it is highly recommended and some churches can refuse to marry you if you are not a baptised and confirmed Christian.
you may have to consider converting to Catholicism, being baptised and confirmed, and part of the confirmation process is confession - which is where the priest would give you penance to perform in order to be absolved of such sins as divorce.
