My family is old fashioned. They think if you get a girl pregnant you should marry her. Well, my fiancee got me pregnant. At the age of 17 we are having the wedding in October. Also my older brother got his girl friend pregnant and they are engaged. Do you think this marriage will last. We are madly in love and want this for our child. I grew up without a father, I don't want my baby to.

My fiancé asked me to marry him back in 2003, and we are stable enough to set a date (February 23, 2008), but every time I try to talk to him about it, or if I have an idea, he will listen, but it doesn’t seem that he cares…I know a wedding is a ‘girl’ thing, but is it normal that he doesn’t want to discuss it?? To me, it doesn’t seem that he cares…

I have asked him about it and he said that he does care and he will put in his 2 cents but I wish that he was as excited as I am about this.

My friends niece had bridal shower from her sister. Fiance kicked up a storm because his side not invited. Sister then invited. She had to tell restaurant how many people. $25.00 per person. His family 20 people. On the day, he did not show nor did his family! The niece is still with her fiance.

Ok ok, so ive asked like god knows how many times on which ring to get, and i found two. But i dont know if these are engagement rings? well its an engagement ring im looking for. The girl doesnt like anything too much, so shes into simple stuff, likes white gold, and shes 22. So which out of these two do you think is the better?

but because his two first wives passed away. The thing is I'm going to his wedding, I didn't go to his past weddings ( we didn't know each other at the time) and hence, I'd like to bring them a gift, event though they already have everything! So.... my problem here is: I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO GIVE THEM! Any ideas?

My wedding is a destination wedding and it is in Mexico. She had plenty of time to financially plan to come to the wedding but she has made EVERY excuse not to come. She and I have always had a very dysfunctional relationship. This is one of many attempts that I have made in order to bridge the gap with her. She continues to do things that I don't understand. Its a very puzzling/hurtful relationship. How do I explain to people that my mother isn't coming to the wedding without getting too emotionally sucked in?

I am planning on getting married maybe in the next year or two but it depends on the cost. I am undecided weather to get married in a church, outside by the beach (which mean I would have to have my wedding in another state) or outside somewhere nice. What would you recommend? What's the average you've spent on your wedding day? What would you recommend not to spend so much money on and what would you splurge on?

Has anyone heard the song "My Heart is Yours" ??? I think Rob Thomas sings it...at least that's who i heard sing it, but the quality of the cd was pretty bad (it was a burned cd) I think it's a really pretty song and might want to use it in my wedding. It's just piano and a singer. But I want to get the lyrics....just so i know if it is "appropriate" like i said i couldnt understand all the words due to the quallity of the cd.... if anyone has some time and just playing around could you look up the lyrics and copy them into an answer for me???

My husband has been hounding me like CRAZY to get a portrait done now. I wanted to so bad before we got married, but we just didnt have the extra money. We had professional wedding pictures taken at the wedding, but i never got a real good pic of me in my dress (which was absolutely beautiful in my opinion!). Dont get me wrong, i love getting my picture taken, but i'm too embarrased to have it done this late (i live in a VERY small town). I'm just wondering what everyone elses take is on this.. I know it doesnt sound like a big deal, but it's a never-ending discussion between my husband & i. Thanks in advance for any opinions!

My wedding is set for late March 2007. How soon do you think I need to start making plans? My fiance' is a"go with the flow" type of guy so he really isn't as concerned as I am. I like to pay attention to details so I think now is very important! Also, do you have any ideas on what a first time bride should know.

Went to a wedding reception Saturday night. I wore an above the knee dress with heels and hose; and my mother almost flipped because I had worn just pantyhose under the dress. It hurt my feelings. I wore just pantyhose to avoid lines...and for comfort. I just turned 20...so its not like I am a young child. The dress was short but not a mini. They were all sheer hose; however made to be worn without.

The dresses that my bridesmaids will be wearing are somewhat elaborate, and since I have 2 maids of honor I thought it would be best that that both the bridesmaids and the maids of honor wear the same dress, with the difference that the maids of honor dresses will be in a different shade within the wedding's color scheme. But now one of my MOH, thinks that everyone wearing the same dress will not look good, and I worry that a different dress might clash with the bridesmaids dresses which are already bought. What do you think?

Last week I saw a post on here where a woman was talking about hiring a private eye to investigate her daughters boyfriend. Somebody mention the link http://background-records.net/ as a good place to find info online. Well I checked out the site and entered my sisters boyfriends name and found out that he was convicted of armed robbery in 1999. I know this is him because the name, date of birth, and address are all the same. I am sure my sister or my dad doesn't know.......should I tell my sister or our dad? I don't know how to handle this situation.
