Can you and your fiance have a Mutual "Best Man" at the ceremony, even without a Maid of Honor? I have bridesmaids, but none that I'd consider as good a friend as my guy friend, who introduced my fiance and I. My fiance and I both consider him our closest friend. Anyone have ideas of how I could incorporate this into the ceremony/reception?

I don't really have anyone near enough to go with me right now and I happen to have a free day tomorrow where I can get alot done. This will be my first trip to the ole bridal salon so this time it's all about finding out what size, style and color looks best on me. I will not be buying one becuase we still need to decide on a venue for our reception but I need to put some reality to all of those glossy size 4 models in the bridal mags before I fall completely in love with a dress that's not complimentary on ME. lol. So, will I be in the minority going alone? Will it be depressing? Will I be at a disadvantage being by myself? or an ADvantage? Anyone do this?

So many of my friends are back where they started after a couple of years marriage- Shouldn't we just cut the cr*p, forget the nuptials and all that rip off garbage that makes up a wedding and just have a legal agreement when first we shack up that should (or when) he or she wants to leave, we know who gets what CD albums?

At the beginning of our second year we went through a miscarriage and our relationship is stronger than ever. Six months ago we had the talk about marriage he said that he would propose in 2-3 months. Now he says maybe in a year. He says he loves me and that the only reason we aren't engaged is that he has to come to and understanding in his mind about being a husband and that he isn't ready to give up his adult unmarried life. He says there is no one else and that he doesn't want to be with any one else and that it's not me but it's him. We've lived together for a year and 2 months. what should I do? Should I just leave and give him his space because I get the feeling he just wants to have his cake and eat it too. I love him and I know he loves me. Please give me GREAT advice

Hello, I'm asking this question, not in the search of advice but mostly wondering if things like this really can happen.
The way things stand now i'm completely into the "NO WAY, I can't take him back after he hurt so much"....eventhough he cries infront of me and asks for forgiveness. I don't hate him but would never be able to return into a relantionship with him now.
I would just like to read (if any exist) of cases where the man (or woman) DID manage to prove his/her love and regain the trust and love of the person they did wrong to ..... and that obviously it worked out in the end. I'm curious to know...

anyone knows where i can rent a wedding gown at a cheap price? i saw many boutiques on the stretch of shops along Tanjong Pagar, but i'm not sure if they're cheap. would they be much cheaper? the prices should be more competitive since there's so many similar shops, isn't it? anyway, some recommendations please.

I am an amateur photographer who loves shooting landscapes and sunsets. I heard of a friend's friend needing a last minute wedding photographer, and offered suggestions as to whom to ask. Being last minute, no one was available, I offered my services, and they were so desperate that they accepted after seeing my landscape shots.
I had planned on using my Canon Rebel s2000 that I have used for almost 5 years, and felt fairly confident about the job. Now they want me to use their digital camera, which I won't get access to until 18 hours before the wedding.
I think finances were their determining factor in not using film, but I just don't feel as comfortable using a camera I'm not familiar with. Anyone have any tips or hints about wedding photography or dealing with the couple? Should I refuse to do the wedding unless I can use film? Thanks a bunch!

I am in my 30's & live with my Mom. My fiance is white & I am East Indian. I lived on my own for a long time & even moved out of state & moved back with Mom because dad was sick & dying. She always treated me like a kid. Yesterday she got upset with me & said she is not my mother & she doesn't want any part of my wedding. My sis who lives out of state always causes problems in the family. She hates my fiance. She lied to me about mom. She said Mom said I'm using marriage prep as an excuse on not attending my relative parties. They have parties almost every weekends & the parties end after midnight.. Mom wanted my wedding the way she wanted & my fiance & I didn't like that. My fiance, my Mom & I were planning on traveling out of state to buy my Wedding sari & bridesmaids sarees. She's supose to help me pick the right saree since she's worn saree's alot. But now she doesn't want to go. I got upset & told her I should cancel the wedding but I didn't tell anything to my fiance. I'm sad

Let me explain a little bit. He's been my bestfriend for a very long time and he's gay. I only bring up that he is gay because he normally likes to go shopping. But, anyway, he didn't go wedding dress shopping with me. He has missed both of my showers saying that he just couldn't get off of work. Which I know is a lie because he knew a month in advance of both dates. Now I don't even know if he's going to come to the wedding because he has planned his annual thanksgiving dinner with his other friends the same day as my wedding. He started acting funny the night I got engaged. What should I do? Should I talk to him about it? Should I just leave it be? Need some advice. Thanks in advance for all of your answers.
