That depends on which "wedding stuff" you are needing.
Dresses: consignment/resale shops (can buy a wedding gown for as little as $90 in most of the Midwest)
Tuxedo: Ebay sometimes you can get one for about $90.
Table decorations: thrift stores--go on the sale days for salvation army or goodwill and you can get vases and such for a dollar or 2 each
Ribbons and misc craft things: hit the seasonal sales at craft stores and fabric stores-- go for Christmas decoration colors, easter colors, depending on the scheme. You can often get ribbon 1/2 off when it is on sale. Buy by the spool.
Cake decorations: find a cake decorating supply store, one that caters towards bakers and you will save money on a cake topper or other supplies.
Flowers: depending on the season, you can visit your local garden stores and pick up living plants that suit your needs. Good thing is that you can plant them later or give them to family or as favors to guests.

I don't know what you mean by "stuff." If you mean wedding gown, etc. You can look at second hand stores and also there are big outlets that sell last year's styles (which is silly because wedding dresses don't go out of style). Outlets also have tuxedos and men's suits. You can rent these, too. For favors and the like, go to Walmart, K-mart, any craft store and make your own. For food you can serve punch and cookies and have a nice sheet cake prepared at the local bakery or grocery. Hope this helps. I know people spend thousands of dollars (sometimes millions), but that doesn't mean the marriage will be any better than someone who invites the immediate family, serves cookies and tea and gets married in the pastor's study. My husband and I had a very simple church ceremony and had a simple reception in the social hall afterwards....over 30 years ago.

Ebay is great as it has most things on it. I have got a lot for my wedding on there (favours, gas and balloons, confetti, shoes, pattern for my dress) but make sure you look around the shops as well . I made invites got all the stuff from hobbie craft. I have got all my candles from ikea. I have got some beautiful Large Vases for my flowers for a £1 each in the pound shop! If you are hiring suits go to Burton's they are very helpful and the cheapest I have found.
I hope I have helped good luck happy looking x

Michaels is excellent if you are crafty and can make things yourself. Otherwise, if you join www.theweddingchannel.com and www.theknot.com they will send you discounts through your email. We bought 15 disposable cameras, bridesmaid favors, and bride undies for less than 60.00 :)
