I often see people with 'theme' colours for wedding, 'chocolate' and various shades of blue being the most popular. I wonder if these people realize 'chocolate' simply amounts to brown. Like dirt. Haha. :) What are some lesser used colours? I'm already set on my colour scheme (rainbows, sure! Haha, kidding ;D) but am curious of the ideas of others. :)

For the curious, I'm eyeballing wine and silver for colours. Something warm, and something cool. :)

Well I am in the wedding industry so this is really a fun question to answer since I have seen it all.
Chocolate would have never been used 3 years ago but is the latest "in" color. Likely to go down in history like the ruffled shirts of the 70's.
(Think your mother's wedding pics)
The other hot colors right now are black and white. Red and all shades of it. Pink and pastels are always in with Yellow being the least used of the Easter bunny colors.
The ones I NEVER see are hunter orange, mustard yellow and baby poo green.
The most unusual ...I have one this weekend where the girls dresses are brown and the guys are wearing CAMOUFLAGE vest and ties with their tuxedos. Yes, believe it or not CAMO!

I thought the same thing when I saw ppl wearing "chocolate". What are they thinking? For my wedding I thought it'd look nice being a lot of white with some bits of burgundy/wine and a little silver (to match our ring color). I don't see many weddings where the main color is just solid white so I thought I'd go with it.

I don't think there are any colors that are mostly used or least used of all...the weddings that I have done have had either silver or gold incorporated in one way or another. The idea of using a warm and a cool is a great one!! It sounds beautiful!

Shades of pink and rose are the colors I've seen most often at weddings. Although, since last May, I've been to four weddings, and various shades of steel gray and charcoal featured in two of them! Of the other two weddings, one was centered around shades of lavender and purple, and the other around red and white!
When my hubby and I eloped almost 37 years ago, I wore a camel-colored wool suit and carried a bouquet of yellow roses and baby's breath ... not your normal wedding colors!

I think the most gorgeous colors for weddings are fall colors - coppers, golds, burgundies and sage greens. Pastels also work nicely.
I also don't like chocolate "dirt" brown for wedding colors, and I don't like blue either.

My favorite is Medium Yellow, with White and Silver Accents
but I can't stand it when anyone does those Bright Shades of pastels. AAH! People!

I would stay away from unimaginative (among other things) black and doo doo brown.
Our colors were navy, light blue, and white. Blue was my favorite color then.
Now I love pinks or sage greens (not necessarily together).

I don't think red is used very much. Most people seem to stick to pinks, aquas and blues.
Personally, I like yellow.
