Weddings - October 2006

I just got married last month and I still guilty about this today: I have 3 siblings and my sister was the MOH and my younger bro was an usher. My older brother was not in the wedding because I already had enough ushers. So I asked him if he would be my music man for the ceremony since it was outside, but he rejected. Given that, it was time for pictures and we were all so rushed that we didn't even get a family shot on my side of the family. Therefore, my big bro was barely included in my wedding at all. I still feel so much regret that I bought him football tickets to a game a couple weeks ago. Should I feel like the biggest ***** in the world? I tried to include him. The day just didn't go as planned. I know he felt bad too because he cried when he danced with me during the dollar dance. During the reception, my mom kept telling me "Go talk to your brother" And all I wanted to do was have fun because it was my wedding night. Any thoughts on this? I can't quit feeling bad.

My fiance and i are in a disagreement with the bridesmaids dresses. I would like my girls to choose the dress they want as long as it is the color i choose. He wants the girls to wear the same dress but they get to choose the color of the dress (in our wedding colors of course). What do you all think?

Ok, I know the proposal is coming and me and him have talked about it many times. But I wanted to get him something in return. When the couple get engaged only the guy have proof of it not the guy. So I have already talked to him about it and he kind-of agreed that he would like an egagement ring too; that he would wear it proudly. My fiancee and i want to get married on a beach somewhere, with only a few close friends. Does anyone know any good companies that provide services (photographers, decorations, food, etc) for these types of weddings? I have looked at Sandals.com, but it seems a little cheesy/tourist-y. How do i make sure the company i use for all this is a reputable company, since its so far away and i won't be able to meet with the real people before the week of the wedding?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years. Tomorrow is our 3year anniversary and I want to ask him to marry me. I'm so scared though. I don't want to get rejected. He is my soulmate. I'm going through it....like many of you have. A month ago my fiance, who a month earlier was telling me I was the woman of his life, left me for another.
I know very well it's just a matter of time and one day I'll see that all this pain and anger was for the best but there's something I'd like to ask those of you who have been there and are now happy with someone else.
Does it really heal? I'd like to know if, because of this obviously very unstable person (I'm being very polite...)I was in love with, I'll change my way of living relationships and most of all my way of trusting men.....?
The weeks following his "moment of truth" I felt as if someone had ripped my heart out, tied it in a knot and threw it in the ocean. It's all slowly going back to "normal" but I'm scared of having to live such a thing twice.
So...I'd be more than happy to hear stories of those of you who are in love again...

Do I have a reason to worry?
I asked this question yesterday. And people who answered my question think I snooped. But I didn't. I found an email address in my fiances room when I was watching a DVD in his room. It was in the table next to the keyboard by his computer. It was visible. The email address was unusual. So I went to my house to check on it. When I did a reverse email search it belonged to a woman in England. But he has never been to England. I haven't asked him about it. He didn't realize that the email address was visible. But when he noticed it he hid it under the keyboard in front of me. Three weeks ago I found a phone number on top of his dresser. It didn't have name on it. So I went home and blocked my number and called that number. A woman answered it. I asked her if she was married and she said yes she was. I have not asked him about it either. Because I don't want to ruin our relationship. And I love him to death. He promised me he would never leave me and he loves me to death.

My fiancee lives with me, My mom already knows and so does my brother and sister, but my grandma doesnt have a clue we arent getting married until August of 2009 but I kind of think my family has a right to know, My dad doesnt know either, he really isnt a part of my life. His Dad doesnt like me because he is a racist and i am black. His mom really likes me and so does his little sister. I just dont know if we should tell them all just yet, though we are planning our wedding already.
