We are getting married next November and are in the beginning stages of scouting out a location. A question I have is what church to get married in. We are having a really hard time finding a beautiful church because many of the newer ones look like a conference hall. Any ideas?

Usually a person picks the church they attend. Maybe you should try a hall or banquet facility.

Look in old Bellingham... near the water. I know there are some older, pretty ones out there. Also, try Western Washington University. It's a beautiful campus in the fall and you may be able rent a space there if all else fails.

I lived in Bellingham when I was 3 and I know that it has grown allot since then, everything is newer. Try going to another older nearbye city and finding a quaint, charming church, providing the guests can travel. Maybe consider going to Port Townsend or Olympia also.

I would contact a local officiant and then ask her for suggestions. They usually know the area churches and venues. Check out Washington Top Wedding Sites for local officiants and venues. http://wa.topweddingsites.com

Try doing a search on www.theknot.com. It is a great web site with lots of great tools. I used it for my wedding last August and it helped me get organized.
