I hope English is NOT your first language. If so, you should go back to high school before you marry (sorry to be so rude but wow).

If you are going to the courthouse to get married on Halloween I would get married in my plain clothes. But then again, I wouldn't be too gung ho about just heading to the courthouse on Halloween. And why does the date change whether your mom goes or not? Is she afraid of Halloween? Or does she have other plans??

Yes if your going to the courthouse you might as well change the day so your mom can be there it's not like you will be losing any money.

yes change the date. You should have a wedding day all to yourself, not shared with a "holiday" that's all about being someone else. Of course you want your mom there.
In my opinion, showing up in Halloween outfits makes a joke out of your vows. Separate the 2 events.

Do you REALLY want your anniversary to be on Halloween every year?

I think you deserve to have a day that is ONLY your anniversary, and not a holiday for someone else.

I also believe that, considering how important this event is, having your family there with you is important. I know that I would change the date of my wedding if it meant my mother wouldn't be there. I hope you love your mother (and the rest of your family, for that matter), enough to make this adjustment.

I like the idea of costumes, the 31st sounds like a good day to get married, I have often thought about it, except for the fact that I would have to spend my anniversary trick or treating with the kids. Me personally, I would change the date, cause I couldn't get married without my mom there, it just wouldn't seem right. But it is not for us to tell you what do you, you know down in your heart what is the right decision for you and your family. I am sure you are smart enough to make the right decision for you also. Congrats and Good Luck!!!

Your wedding day is special for you and the one that you are with. It is your day to do what makes you and him happy. Your family should bask in your happiness. I don't think that you should change to accomodate others on this day. They should change to accomodate you. It's your day, make it memorable!

If you are really Wiccan, you will be very busy doing other things on All Hallows Eve. Blessed be.

If it bothers you now, it will bother you later, too. Change the day, or you will regret it for the rest of your life.
