I am American and my fiance is British. I'm planning on moving to the UK after the wedding, so I was thinking of having the wedding in the United States. But he really wants to be married in England. Thing is my family is much bigger than his, so it would be harder to have everyone come over from the US to England.

Ah! Help! Any thoughts?

Here are the 4 (one dress has 2 shots) bridemaid dresses that we narrowed things down to the other day. The one bridesmaid that came with me had to try on something like 20+ dresses for us to get to this point. Then my boss who came with us (with her slim figure!) modeled them for us. So, these are the "definite" choices.

By the way, I haven't picked out a color yet, but they all come in different colors, so just look more at style, not necessarly the color you see here.

Thanks for any opinions in advance.....(the last two dresses are the same one, just from a front and back view. Plus, we would get floor length, not cocktail length on that dress, it just happens to come in both styles.)

Oh yeah, and one more bit of important info, the wedding is next May (spring time).

Here's the link (hope it works!!!)

I am in the process of planning mine and my fiance's wedding, when it struck me I don't really know what type of schedule we should have. What I mean is, the ceremony is at 5:00 pm and then we will probably take photos, but then what time do we eat, our first dance as husband and wife, father/ daughter, cake cutting, and so on. Any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated.

My fiance and I are planning our wedding (deposits paid etc for space) and I still don't have my engagment ring. I love him dearly and he loves me and I know he'll marry me one way or the other. But everytime I tell someone I'm getting married they look at my naked left hand, though most don't say anything about it. I feel silly getting upset over such a small thing, but I can't help it. Am I the only one?

I need some inexpensive ideas for bridesmaid and groomsen gifts. Also ideas for the flower girl and ring bearer. We are on a budget now because the wedding is getting out of hand. Any suggestions?

For a wedding gift a family gave us a doiley with our invitation pinned to it. My husband took it as an insult, but I don't know. It's the family of this guy that I dated for a very short while, but the family acted like we were going to get married or something, and were shocked when I stopped dating him. Anyways, they are really into making homemade gifts like quilts, wooden things, and stuff like that, so was it meant to be an insult or not? What do you think.

my grandpa is very ill in the hospital. He is sick to the point that surgery and medicine wont help him get any better. I am so stressed out. Should i put off my wedding? What if the worst happens , should i not get married? I am so confused. I love my grandpa and would not be happy at my wedding if the worst happend and I dont think the rest of my family would either. What should i do?

Some people i no think its dead cheeky but i kinda think its pretty practical, solves the dilemma in people wondering what to buy you and you getting stuck with all kinds of junk and ten toasters etc.
what you think ??

My brother in law got married and my husband and I could not believe how many people showed up without a gift! When we got the gift (from a registry) we noticed almost no items had been purchased, and we got the gift 3 days before the wedding. At the wedding there was only a few gifts and cards. Since when has it become acceptable to show up at a wedding without a gift?!?! My friend says it's ok and maybe they can't afford the gift. I say that's BS and you should always bring a gift. Everyone usually has something on the registry that is inexpensive, so I think that's an excuse.

I have a friend's wedding this weekend and I have the sentimental portion of the speech together... But I need some good best-man one-liners. Anyone heard any good ones or given a speech that has left people rolling...

My fiances brother is getting married in Sept and didn't ask my fiance to be in the wedding. I know he's hurt by this but he says its not a big deal but I've overheard him talking to his mom about it. Were getting married next year and haven't set a date yet. Now my fiance wants to get married the same day as his brother and his mother is encouraging this. I don't want to get married the same day because that would mean his family would have to choose between his brother and him and I don't feel this is right. Am I right or should I just but out for a little bit?
