Why not? Do what you want it's your wedding. You could have the Cheesecakes made in little cupcakes if you wanted and stack them on a pretty tiered display. Then have your favorite toppings near by for people to dress it up however they want.

You can serve anything you want instead of cake. It should not be stacked or iced. However alot of bakers insist that must be done to be a "real" wedding cake and claim to have no problems (Elegantcheesecake.com for example). The icing really does affect the taste even after it is removed. For that reason, most people hate it because they are so used to plain cheesecake and just adding their own toppings at will.

As far as display, it should be presented cascade style or basically spread out on the table. www.muddypawscheesecakes.com has some excellent ideas as to how a cheesecake should be displayed.

You could absolutely use cheesecake for your wedding cake, you could have a table of all kinds of these and one special one as "the wedding cake." You might want to check one thing out though if your into the "traditions" such as freezing the small top section and eating it on your one year anniversary, you might want to test that out freeze an example of what you'd have as your cake and then take it out let it thaw slowly in the fridge and see if you'd want to eat it after freezing. Just a thought. As for the stacking thing anything is possible if your cake maker is creative enough. Check out the links.

yes! i love cheesecake and i even thought about having it in my future wedding. you dont have to make one huge cake. it could be layered on different stacks so that it would hold up.

i went to a wedding a few weeks ago and they had a normal cake, which they let people take pictures of and then they cut it into small pieces that people could take home when they left the wedding. on a separate table they had other cakes, like cheesacakes, brownies, cookies and fruit.

so there is a good idea.....hope i helped!

Yes you can. That's what I'm planning on doing since my bf dislikes cake and loves cheesecake asmuch as I do.

Have one for display only. Decorate it with flowers with the colors of your wedding. This would be your "picture" cake. Have the rest of the cheese cake undecorated and get it sliced and served in the kitchen. People do that nowadays and is less messy and less expensive.

Congrats and good luck

You couldn't stand it up, you could however have many different cheesecake flavors on the side, maybe placed all around a small 2 tiered traditional cake just for cutting and pictures. I think it's a great idea to have your favorite flavors available for all to enjoy. Congratulation's and Best Wishes to You and Your Fiance'.

Your wedding cake should be whatever you desire. Just make sure that you find a good baker. A lot of bakers have taste testings that you can go to that are free. If you like what you have tasted talk to the baker about wanting cheesecake and see what they can do. Its worth going. Have fun!!

I'm coming to your wedding! I LOVE cheesecake!
Really though, I don't see why not. I would just take some time finding someone who has done it before as I would also assume weight would be an issue!
