Does it really help things?
Me and my fiance have been together for nealy 4 yrs and we have a beautiful baby girl.
We have been through a lot since we had the baby. I had post natal depression, things like that.
Now our sex life is totally gone. We argue constantly. Sometimes I feel like i just need a break from us.
He thinks if we take a break then it will ruin us.
I dont i want to go and find another man or anything, just time to be with me and my child.

We have been speaking about it today, and i think hes starting to agree. But now because he is starting to agree, im feeling really emmotional :o(

I think taking a break will help us not to take each other for granted?

Help please xx

My fiance and I are planning on getting married December/2007. My wish is to have my oldest brother walk me down the aisle, since our parents pasted away years ago. The problem is, he currently resides with his wife and two kids in Australia. I live in Chicago, IL. The only time they would be able to come here is during the winter, near Christmas. Several people I've talked to say don't get married near the holidays. Supposedly because the vendors will be stressed and more expensive, family and friends will be stretched money-wise, and (not that it matters) they say we will receive little to no gifts. Please tell me what you guys think.

I am getting married Friday and tomorrow is Wednesday. Anyone know how long it will take a jeweler to resize a ring? I also need to get it engraved. I know this is last minute!

father of the baby. The relationship between the two of them is a very unhealthy one. The main thing is that they lack respect for each other. I called my daughter today and she informed me that she was getting married in 1 week at City Hall. She also said she was going to send a few wedding invitations out. This is very short notice for me and I feel that a City Hall wedding should not have wedding invites accompany it. If I had not called I do not know whether she would have given me very much notice. I am obligated to my work and getting off with such short notice may be difficult. also, I personally do not want to celebrate this event as I do not feel there is real happiness between the two. What should I do???

Hi guys - my fiance and I have been living together for a couple of years and have most of the the things we need for the home.

We do not wish to ask our guest for money, or do the 'wishing well' thing.

I was going to not suggest anything, but as my mum pointed, out we are going to be inundated with phone calls from our guests asking us what we would like, as they would like to give us a present of sorts.

Does anyone have any innovative / not too expensive ideas?

Thanks so much everyone - I really appreciate your help with this

Just for FUN
My FI family is driving me nuts, they ask me wedding questions just to put me down.
His one sister keeps complaining about how much money we are wasting... because she jeolous she never had a wedding and her babies dad is in jail.

His other sister tried to give me a "moral" lecture on how wrong I am for not allowing children at my wedding.... did I mention she has two kids and she not married!

LOL- just for fun tell me all your great horror stories!!

Okay, our parties were Saturday and we both had a great time. I didn't really want him to go to the strip club but he did for about an hour with his buds. I'm bummed but I wonder if it's okay to get over because both his best man and him called and told me before they even went that night. He was even home by 11 and said he appreciated me more after he went because they girls weren't as attractive as he thought.

Would you try to move on or be upset (still after 4 days) even though he was straight forward and truthful both before and after he went, the night wasn't centered around it and didn't spend but about $12?

do they invite all these people because they feel it is expected by parents etc; to impress others; are they business associates; friends of parents?
On the day how many of the guests do the couple actually manage to speak to personally?
I am NOT knocking couples who do this; so long as it is what they themselves want fot their day.

I am engaged 2 a wonderful man since May. We spend alot of time 2gether. I see him almost everyday exept when he travels 4 work. We were having our ups and downs last year & in Feb I thought we were done 4 good. But I had 2 change my self 4 the better in order 4 our relationship 2 work. He saw a dramatic change in me & asked me 2 marry him. And I fell head over heals in love with him. But sometimes I get insecure. So this summer I found an email address in his room. I went home & checked who it belongs 2 out of curiousity. I did some investigation & it belongs 2 a woman in England. But he hasn't been there. I found a phone number also in his room 2 weeks ago. I called that cell # & it belongs to a woman. She sounded older. I asked her if she was married & she said she was. I haven't asked him about these. Should I forget about it? He said I am the love of his life & he would never leave me. Our wedding date is fixed & we R going through marriage preperation classes also.

Nieces/'nephews vs. close friends? My husband and I argue all the time. What does it really depend on, who's paying for the wedding, where it's located, how much we have??

Help!!
