I am getting married Friday and tomorrow is Wednesday. Anyone know how long it will take a jeweler to resize a ring? I also need to get it engraved. I know this is last minute!

Rings can usually be sized only one or two sizes.
A) Depends on the amount of sizes you need it to go.
B) Depends on the material of the ring. Silver requires one set of tools and skills, gold another set and Platinum yet another. Most on site jewelers do not have the tools/equipment to work with platinum and have to outsource it.
Your best bet is to take it to a shop that deals with repairs on site. Here in Michigan we have a company called the Jewelry Doctors that does on site repairs. Look in your local phone book under jewelry repair for a shop like that near you.
Good Luck

They usually can do resizing in the store (15 minutes). I imagine engraving is the same.

FYI I had a jeweler warn me that if you take a nice ring to a jeweler you don't know, don't let the ring out of your site. It doesn't take long for them to swap out the diamonds (same thing with jewelers who offer a free cleaning)

The only way to be guaranteed it is done in time is to talk to a jeweler in your area and set an appointment for the earliest available time. Be sure you are going to a reputable company, you dont want to end up with your ring "frankenstein'd"

If it is a plain band you can get it done same day. Just call around to your local jewelers to see if they have someone that makes repairs in house. That way you get straight to the person that can do it.

Ä°t depends ,if you say urgent,it won't take more than a few hours.Ä°f you leave it to them it could take a few days.So you better tell them it needs to be done before you have kids :-)
