My fiance and I wish to get married in the methodist church in my town. We are going to make an appointment to speak with him so we can book the church. What kind of questions will he ask?
Thank you for your help.

He will probably talk more at you than to you. Our minister wanted to talk to us about all sorts of things and mainly we just listened. Much of it will be logistical about the little choices you get to make (which bible readings, songs, etc)

You might have to take this cool compatibility test. Its multiple choice and I forget what it is called but you rank a whole bunch of things and then compare how you are different.

It depends, different ministers do it differently. There is a loose guideline of what they're supposed to address, and it's basically to access if the marriage is right.

It doesn't matter so much if all of your ideas and expectations of marriage are the same. He just wants to get you to talk about what your expectations are, realize that marriage is work, and agree that you are both ready and willing to do what it takes to make the marriage last.

i guess they are all different but ours gave us homework! We didn't really do anything but say hi, go over the rules and talk a little about ourselves the first night and then he gave us a question sheet we have to fill out and discuss with him later. It has about 20 questions on it- and your suppose to do them separately and not cheat.

It has stuff like- why do you want guest and your wedding, why do you think it's important to have guest.

What things do you want to change about your other...

How will your raise your children?

How will you use god in your marriage?

Do you feel getting married in a church is important?

Why do you think in today's society marriage is important- why not just live together?
