I am afraid I dont understand the question.... could you please clarify?
What classifies a "wasteful expenditure"?
Did you mean in a wedding (rather than a marriage)? If not you put this in the wrong catagory.
What do you mean "checked"? Checked by whom? and how?

I think people go overboard on decorations. Photography can be pricey too along with the dj, so do some research. The invitations don't have to be really fancy either, most people throw them away.

Do you mean unnecessary wedding expenses?
Photography - be very careful, my cousin paid $600.00/hr. it's a rip off. Try to do your research first.
Other expenses that are not necessary like buying too much extra's.
