It's called infatuation.

What do you do? Be honest! If you're not and tell them WHAT they want to hear, you're going to end up hurting them AND yourself eventually.

If you don't like them, tell him. Explain that you can't share the love they so desire, only that you will be able to love them as a friend and only a friend.

Good luck!

Also, I spent 21 years trying not to hurt the feelings of others. It took all of those years to realize that eventually it doesn't matter. Be nice and courteous, but you also matter. Don't do things just to make others feel better--you also need to listen to what you need. Don't put your needs behind those of others.

Make a lot of comments about them being a great friend. I have this happen alot and once your categorize them into the friend zone, they realize you don't feel the same way, without you having to say it and eventually stop with the uncomfortable comments. And as a bonus, you get to maintain the friendship.

You'll probably get alot of comments about "poor you", but they are just jealous honey. You carry on as you are...there should be more people as kind and caring as you in this world!

They may not mean they are IN love with you..... just that they appreciate you and love your kindness. Take it as a compliment. Smile, say thanks, and move on with life. If you dont dwell on it they probably wont either. If you end up with a wacko stalker though run (dont walk) to the nearest police station and have them take care of it.

Been there and done that. This is a perfect question.
I cannot answer this question right now, because I have to get ready to close down.
It is tough.
Good Luck

Maybe it is because you are a genuine person willing to be yourself is the exact reason they are attracted to you.

I suggest pointing out to that them that what they are really looking for is their own spiritual path.

Examine your actions more closely. If it is a recurring theme in your life, you must be doing SOMETHING to provoke this kind of behavior.

Strange, but what does that have to do with weddings?
