she wants me to make jewelry for her wedding party because I rock at it. And when she asked me this I thought, "Hold up!!!! I aint in your wedding party?" I live in dallas, she in detroit I've been feeling like she's acting different. The last 3 years she's been a little slax in calling me or answering my email. when i call, she says three things the entire conversation, "For real", "oh my god", and, "teehee"!!!!! The whole phone converstion what like that, and are often that way sometimes. We have spent some amazing years together so i guess i'm out of site and out of mind.

How would you feel?

What do you call the secondary part of the engagement ring, that sort of wraps around the solitaire? Not the wedding band, but the other piece.

my brother has known tendecies to be very critical, at one point he went to my boyfriend and talked about me to him. I feel that i would invite everyone except for him, because i strongly feel that he will say something outloud or ruin the wedding or the wedding reception by being rude or talk about everybody at the reception. My sister is saying he wont do that and to have faith, and to believe in god that he wont act a fool at the wedding. i think he will do what he does best. my sister say its not right to not invite him. what u think?

i was planning to do my sisters hair and make up along with the whole wedding party as well as be a bridesmaid myself. But it hit the fan when my sister told me that my husband is not invited. Due to the fact that it would make some of the family "uncomfortable". My husband and i have just been thru some hard stuff and were taking a break about 7 months ago. We were living apart for 1 month. We just got a new house and are doin great but my sister and a few other siblings are still upset with my husband even though i initiated the break. Needless to say after my sister dropped the bomb on me i dropped out of her wedding and am now standing by my marriage. I cried for nearly a week straight. NO LIE. but i am still so torn. I dont wanna miss it but how can i possibly choose between them?

A friend of ours has a 7 million dollar home- and said we're welcome to have it in her back yard! It's beautiful- But i'm not sure how they work. Is it kinda lame to have the ceramony and reception in the same place? What are some things you want to avoid and other things that work out really well?

I am getting married in a couple of years and I want to start choosing my attendants. However, if I had to pick my 10 favorite people in the world, I would choose all guys. Instead of just sticking random girls as my bridesmaids, I want to have my best guy friends up there next to me. Do you think this is socially acceptable? Do you think I am breaking tradition?

I was looking for an idea of some places to take my friend for her bachlorette party in St. Louis.

Note: This party will be a week before the wedding, and we want a "real" bachlorette party (Yes we will drink, and yes the bride will be drunk, but I will be taking care of her and not let her do anything too stupid.).

I would like to go to a male revue, but NOT hire a stripper. Strippers are meant to laugh at, not to find sexy.

We are having a spa day the day before the wedding, so I am not looking for suggestions of "go to a spa in the mountains", etc.

The situation: planning a small, intimate wedding with family members and closest friends only (fewer than 100 people TOTAL).
The problem: the groom's 21-year-old sister wants to invite about 20 of her friends/sorority sisters/etc.
How do we deal with this? (We can't even invite all of OUR friends!) She's very used to having her way, and she's in the wedding. She's already mad at her brother for "suggesting" she can't invite all these people! Is there a nice way to handle this? Is there a "proper" way?

Is not that I don't have a heart, but her uncle got lung cancer from smoking and if i am not mistaken, the pack says "cigarettes cause cancer" and her family asked him to stop smoking long ago before he got the cancer (that's like cutting your wrists slowly over the years) .my girl and her uncle are not that close but she loves all her family. I don't want to postpone my wedding, but I don't want to make her feel bad. What do I do?

We're getting married in two weeks, and I'm starting to get concerned about the weather (Dallas area). It's looking like it's going to have a high near 90-93, if the current trend continues. The ceremony is outdoors, at about 3:30 in the afternoon. The reception hall is adjacent to the ceremony site, so people can wait inside in the A/C until it's time for the ceremony, and the ceremony should only be about half an hour. Does anyone have any recommendations on ways to help keep folks cool outside? Or should we move it indoors? We don't have any really "elderly" guests, and while there is a 2-year old, we don't have any infants, but I just don't want folks being miserable. =/

My girl and I are getting married soon and we just found out that her uncle has lung cancer (i'm the guy who asked how long can a person live with lung cancer) and I don't want to postpone nor cancel my wedding only because her uncle didn't care enough for his health, I don't know what am I going to do if he dies before we get married. Advice and criticism are welcome.
