I think it is important that relationships should be equal. Since most men don't like to wear what would be good alternatives to an "engagement ring" that would be suitable for a man?

I'm looking for answers that are legit, and if you are replying to the question " why don't they have engagement rings?" try to avoid the "it's tradition" or "thats the way it should be" responses.

i read some answer about virginity .. some guys prefer a virgin for religious or what ever reason. but what happen if she was raped would you still look at her as a virgin? and marry her?

what i gave him or he will do something that is more expensive gift then what i gave him or bring me to a more grand place then where i brought him to? Is this ego? I'm flying back to my home town for my (high school) best friend's wedding this weekend. I have already used a vacation day and spent almost $1000 just on plane tickets and a new suit, but now my cash flow is getting low quick. We're young and don't have a large budget, would it be ok to have an early afternoon ceremony and have everyone back to the large suite for appetizers, drinks and cake? It'll be about 50 of our close friends and family, the room will be plenty large (2 stories and a large patio) but will our guests be expecting more? Most will be traveling the 4 hour drive from SoCal to Vegas, so I feel bad not feeding them an actual sit down meal. Should we postpone the wedding so we have more time to save for the meal? We don't need gifts so we aren't registering, but I still feel like we're putting people out and not giving enough in return. My fiance feels that since they are all very close to us they will understand our budget issues and be ok with what we can offer. PLEASE HELP!

Keep in mind that I live in the NY/NJ area and things here are a bit pricey no matter what. The thing is this: I want a particular style of photos because my wedding is a 1930s-40s theme and I want classy, old film-star, crooner-type pics. All the photographers in the area that I've looked at that are cheaper only take a limited # of photos, use only digital, and limited hours. Their photos were so uptight, too.
The photographer I love is someone I wouldn't mind having around me ALL day, her hours are unlimited, she takes only real film photos (unlimited number "as many as it takes", and I simply love her style. The price doesn't include an album, either, which would be another $500. Prints are already included in the first price.
Our budget is smaller though and my fiance is complaining about her price. I figure that the only thing aside from our marriage and memories that we take away from this day will be the photos. I really want them to be fabulous. What should I do?

My hair is a bit past my shoulders and is very thick and full. The problem is that the hairstyle i want to have for my wedding requires my hair to be a bit longer- maybe like 5 or so inches. Has anyone used extensions in their hair JUST for the wedding? I cant see myself wearing it on an everyday basis- but i was seriously considering it for the wedding and the pictures.
