During the wedding ceremony, a friend of the family is going to sing a song. She is very talented....she can sing EVERYTHING. She sings in all types of languages. She's mastered Ave Maria like a pro. Do you have any suggestions?

we had a a friend sing at our wedding also. She was absolutely awesome! But there are only two songs that I really can remember and the one that makes me remember my wedding day just as if it was yesterday
is
FROM THIS MOMENT
just listen to the words and you'll find that (in my opinion) there's just no song that would fit better!
The other awesome song is
THE POWER OF LOVE.

"From This Moment" by Shania Twain

"I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman

I've sung both of these songs at weddings. The words are great and everyone loved them....especially the bride and groom! Lyrics can be read at the links below. The 3rd link is a sample of "I Will Be Here" if you've never heard the song before.

P.S. CONGRATULATIONS on your upcoming marriage!! : )

Here are some Classics:

"Unforgettable", by Natalie Cole (excellent CD, please get it)

"My Love is Here to Stay", Natalie Cole

"The Very Thought of You", Natalie Cole

"Endless Love", Diana Ross & Lionel Ritchie

"At Last", Etta James

"Ave Maria"

PS---"From This Moment" by Shania Twain is also a good idea from the answer above

For the wedding which I must extend my congratulations to you for.
I would say the song "I Swear" the version All 4 One re made from a country song originally. They remade it into an r&b hit. It is truly a wedding song if any is. Well many good wishes to you.

Try checking out Bon Jovi, he has some love songs that you might be interested in, I realize the person singing this is not a guy, but it would still work.
Other suggestions:
Shania Twain
Lonestar - Always
LeeAnn Rimes
(sorry that these are all country, but they have the best love songs)

Look up the song At Last. It has been remade by a bunch of people including Celine Dion. It is a beautiful song, and it's perfect for a wedding.Congratulations!
