I met my boyfriend 3 months after his previous relationship of 15 yrs. We have been together for 5 months and he says he loves me. Is it possible for him to really love me and obviously still have love for her?

no, i don't think so... it is a reason he broked up from a relation of 15 years. well sure the past is always there, but a broken heart can't love again the same person that caused that... so live your love as better as you can.

the previous relationship may have actually been over for some time before they parted ways. & what is right for one person is not necessarily.
I personally am wary of too serious an involvement with someone who has not long been separated & I am the 1st person they have gone out with since leaving the relationship.
Why do you feel he still loves his ex??
having been with someone for that long it is quite natural to still have some feelings for that person even though you realise that the relationship is longer right for you
if you have doubts then slow things down

Each person is different... but 3 months is very quick.. I would be weary and take things slowly before committing my entire heart to a realationship started so soon after a broken relationship...

It takes few seconds to fall in love but to fall SERIOUSLY in love is different thing. For someone who has been in a 15yrs relationship, you have to give him his time and space to really think abt his move and to you too, for not puttinghope so high and crash later. Perhaps both shud enjoy each other's company and decide later.

I think it is. Fifteen years is a long time to just let go of. In my opinion, he should have given himself a year or so to rediscover what it is he wants out of life. Perhaps he does love you more, in which case, don't move too quickly. Give him (and you) ample time to realize what is right for the both of you. You wouldn't want to give your all only to be compared with his ex.

Well I would have said yes if it weren't for the "still has love for her" part. Sounds like he may need a little more time.

Yes it's possible to love 2 girls at once. You going to tell him to either chose you or her.
