I have tried Ebay, but didn't come near what I want for it....It was $900 before adding the bustle and it's a gorgeous dress, but all I want for it is $400...is that too much to ask for an unused dress? I don't know why it wont sell! Any ideas how to sell it? We don't have any good consignment shops in my area, either. I'm bummed.

I asked the question about a flower girl wearing the same type/color dress as the bride. It's about my friend's little girl who's in a wedding. I thought I'd ask all of you & give her some of your feed-back. The wedding isn't for me, I've been there & done that & got divorced a few years ago...but it's ok!! Thanx to the one who told me that it was my day, but it's not. Sorry, I failed to explain all of this before. I'm not in a relationship right now.

When I get married I really want a black dress. My friends think I'm crazy and the guy I plan on marrying (at some point lol) is not okay with it. I personally don't know what the big deal is. It's just a dress, right?

The quote before my question came from an advice column on etiquette that I read years ago. I understand it to be poor etiquette to have "no gifts" appear anywhere on the invitation as it is presumptuous. We really just want folks to come and have a nice time... it's my second wedding, and many gave gifts at my first wedding.

I have about 130 or so people coming for my wedding in July to a National Park, what I want to know is do I pay the park fees or should the guests pay? It is about $6.00/person or I could probably get a group rate?

I am getting married in two weeks and I have no clue to what I should give the minister who is marrying my fiance and I. I heard of a couple that married in that same church 6 years ago with the same minister and they donated $100. I would think we should donate a little more then that but how much more is enough?

Hello, I will try to make this short.
My fiance is American all of his family is here. I my case the bride to be was raised and born in Mexico City but I am both American and Mexican. About 60% of MY guests would be from Mexico, my mom's side of the family is gringa (american)
So my series of questions are:
1) Do we pay for my family's airfare and lodging?
2) Ways to break the language barrier?
3) Great wedding ideas adjoining both cultures?

I hosted a wedding recept. for my sis in our yard, as she wanted. My hubby & I spent endless hrs. & days off work to make it perfect. I hired kitchen help & servers. Everything went off w/o a hitch. The compliments were endless. About 2 hrs. into the reception I pd. my servers & let them go as several of the older adults were leaving. My hubby & I could not wait to relax & spend time with my sister & her new hubby. I was maid of honor at her wedding. About 15 mins. after the servers left my new brot-in-law loaded up the keg & told my sister it was time to go! Her 1st response was, "I'm not going anywhere". He then told her their friends just left & were on their way to their house. When I ??ed him about why he was leaving he said that a few of his friends had "DUI'S" & they lived a couple of blks from their home & didn't want them driving 15mins. from our home. When they left, other guest followed leaving us alone in the yard just as the lighted garland lit up. How should I feel?

I need some ideas of what to put in it, I am going to collect things from the actual wedding and reception, I m also getting a disposable camera, so I can take pictures all day and pop it in the box at the end. Any other ideas would be gratefully received.
Thanks
