What should I do? She is 5yrs younger , married 10 years, got married at 18, lives in France, comes home 2-3 year. Will not conisder Easter, Christmas or having it ealier than mine when she is home next summer.

I got enegaged over the weekend. My mom is out of town for the next 2 weeks and doesn't know yet. Should I tell her on the phone or wait til she comes home?? My father already knows and I don't want her to think she wouldn't have been the first person I told, but she isn't here.

I'm really not into weddings and I am getting married (obviously). I have been really relaxed about everything and haven't done anything to make my fiance crazy. I did however, ask specifically that he not ask his one friend to be in his wedding party because the guy is a jerk off and has done a lot of bad things to try to break us up. Just the other night his wonderful friend said the wedding probably wont even happen. My fiance said he's just jealous of us. Still am I wrong not wanting him in it? I mean this a hole is his friend and it's his day too, I'm just so worried now this guys is going to do something to ruin the day. Any advice or opinions?

In the wedding ceremony I know that the bride and the bridesmaids carry bouqets, but does the mother of the bride/groom carry them also?Also I know the groom and groomsmens wear boutoneers, does the father of the bride/groom wear them too? Thanks!

Granted we are not very close. My mom married him after a was already grown. I have alot of respect for him, but he is not a strong "father figure" in my life. I want a song with meaning but nothing about being daddy's little girl kind for thing. HELP!!!

Here is the question here. I have seen a great deal of chaos going on with weddings both helping with them and being at them not I am not a planner. I would pull my hair out. I have reflected on this before in my life and her I go again years later. Weddings can get so ugly with comercial things, people not being invited and other things. It is really hard to deal with. Stresses over little tiny things.

I am seeing that once again with yet another wedding all the hurt and all the stress that goes into a wedding.

***************My questions are these. Is it worth hurting people and stressing yourself for a wedding? and also What has happened at a weddding that you found uncomfortable (I am putting that nicely )?*************

my boyfriend came and stayed with me and my family for a week... we had been dating for one year already. hes done from college and im still in but i lack of 2 years only. i reallyy love him and he does too! he asked my mom if she could allow him marry me and my mom it was up to me (but she didnt answer in mean way)... my family is soo happy cuz hes soo good to me. his family loves me and wants me to go and stay with them. hes from usa and im from dominican. what can i do? i really love him and want a family with him (same thoughts from him, too)....

I would like some gift ideas for a wedding that I will be attending in a couple of weeks in New England.

The couple are both in ther 40's, have everything for the household, have been togetehr for 10 years. The wedding is going to be at the beach and is a non-traditional, casual event.
They enjoy going to the beach together. They are both affluent and they are both in professional fields.

I'm completly clueless of what to get them.

My budget is around $100 dolars.

Any help would be appretriated. I would NOT like to give then a charity donation or a star name. Please spare any rude comments.

My boyfriend and I have been together almost 2 years and resently got engaged. i am 23 and currently in a 5 year relationship (hittin' 6 in a couple of months). It is serious as u would expect for a 5 year relationship. We have talked about marriage (but nothing too serious) and we both kinda decide to wait it out til' I at least finish my degree (which is in another 2 years time). But the thing is he is my first boyfriend & i haven't been with anyone besides him. And i often find myself fantasising/desiring someone else. I feel stuck in this relationship. Our parents/family/friends are all expecting us to get married soon-ish. And i cannot imagine telling him this. It would break his heart. I feel like i'm doomed to continue on this relationship. I guess doomed is a rather exxagerated word to use..but i really do feel that way. He treats me good..he even brought me a brand new car recently & I feel obliged to stay in this relationship. i'm scared that if i do break up with him i will never find someone as good as him..or even someone at all.

My Future In-laws are very distant they are only a 45 min drive away. both MI and FI don't drive and have never made the effort to come in and see our new house (we have been together for 4 years just recently bought house 5 months ago. Myself and my fiance wanted to get married in Ireland because my relatives are all living over there and wouldnt be able to make it to Scotland, MI and FI nearly had a fit about this when it was mentioned and said they were not keen on going (they have never flown and don't own a passport). This means that there will be a very small amount of people on my side but they are wanting us to invite 20 or more from MI and FI side. Also they have not even offered to help fund the wedding with us and my parents which I would think is fair as we have to have it here and there will only be about 8 from my side. Can anyone help me with this dilema. Whose wedding is this anyway!!
