I need some ideas of what to put in it, I am going to collect things from the actual wedding and reception, I m also getting a disposable camera, so I can take pictures all day and pop it in the box at the end. Any other ideas would be gratefully received.
Thanks

That is a great idea!

Other possible things to include:
An invitation
A program
A menu
Dried/Presses flowers used in a centerpiece (she'll probably keep her bouquet, or if she doesn't have a toss to throw, maybe ask the girl who caught it for flowers from it)
Some tulle or ribbon used in decorations
The music list with when it was played, i.e. processional, first dance, father/daughter, mother/son, etc...
One of the favors
Maybe a copy of the garter, the guy who catches it will probably want to keep the real one.
If the rings were carried in a fabric bag, then include it.

Just start snatching things at the wedding that will fit in the box. Everything can be saved.

Make sure to include all the important moments in your pictures.
Possible ideas:
Bridesmaid processional
Bridal Processional
The alter
The clergy or whoever preformed the ceremony
The "first" kiss
The bride alone
The groom alone
The bride and groom together
The entire wedding party
The cake
Cutting the cake
The first dance
The father/daughter dance
The mother/son dance
Tossing of the bouquet
Removing & Tossing of the garter
The last dance
The car (if it's been decorated)

Good Luck!

maybe if you know any of the guests personally, you could get together with them before the wedding and have them write down a piece of advice or a wish for the new couple on pretty paper & include it in the box. one of their invitations, if there was a newspaper announcement, one of their wedding favors, if you can get a copy of their vows, possibly a video of wedding bloopers (some small thing is bound to go wrong and be hysterical later! i'm not saying that to be mean, i've just seen it happen at every wedding i've ever been to!)pictures of their engagement, or their history together. you're definately a great friend to do something so thoughful as a wedding gift i'm sure will be cherished forever!

Write a letter, provide stationary and pens to other wedding guests so they can place a letter in the box... Place an envelop with $40.00 and a card telling them to have dinner on you in the box, Label the envelop "open me 1 week before your 1st anniversary"..

If thier cakse isn't completed yet get ahold of the bakery and ask ig they will place the envelop sealed in a sandwich bag between the layers/under the top tier of cake.... Then when they cut the cake on thier first anniversary they find the surprise dinner... My aunt did this for my husband and I...

Have someone interview guests and ask them for one piece of advice for a successful marriage. Record their names and answers. Be sure to include children--their answers will be precious and funny!

Ask the parents of the bride and groom to explain how they feel about the marriage.

Also, have a a couple of people (not members of the wedding party) be with the bridge and groom beginning in the morning. Capture photos of the bridge getting her hair done, her mother buttoning her gown and putting on her veil, touching up her lipstick. Get photos of the groomsmen putting on the groom's buttoniere, and so on--little things that the photographer won't capture. (Maybe the bakery decorating the cake? The limo driver? The pastor/priest putting on his robe or jacket?)

Have each guest make remarks about the couple or well wishes and record them. Add the tape to the box as well.

Or make a CD of their favorite songs or songs that have been popular over the time they have been together. Music always brings back great memories!

Sometimes, letting go seems like the easiest thing to do. But think about this: you've invested so much of your time and energy into another person; you've made a solemn promise; and you still know there's love, even if it's hiding underneath the surface. This website will show you how to save a marriage and avoid divorce, even if you're the only one trying https://tr.im/yxS7o

Be sure to include flower petals from either the table arrangements or bouquet. And don't forget an engraved napkin. Sounds like a wonderful gift! GREAT idea! Happy Sunday!
