It depends on what you choose to book. You could book a whole package holiday through a travel agent - this might be easier if you've never done the arrangements yourself before. You would then pay a deposit on booking and they would send you a final bill to be paid a few months before the holiday and then send the tickets a few weeks before you go.

It also works like this if you book a package holiday through an online company - make sure it is a reputable one if you do this though as there have been some scams reported recently. The advantage of a package is that you don't have to think about anything else - you usually get flights, accommodation and transfers to and from your resort. There are also a lot of specific honeymoon deals out there and your travel agent would be able to advise you.

If you choose to book things separately, then you will have to make more arrangements yourself.

We have just booked our honeymoon through www.expedia.co.uk as we wanted to go somewhere a bit different. We booked both flights and accommodation with them, and had to pay for everything at the time of booking. We've used Expedia before though, and are really happy with them.

Hope that helps, enjoy your wedding and honeymoon.

Cogratualations on your forcoming marrage I hope you have a fantastic day.
If you have never been abroad before you first may need to sort out a passport so go to your local post office for the forms. When you have filled them in get the post office to check that they are ok a small charge will be made but better than passport being returned.
Next stop is a travel agents for some brouchers of the places you would like to go on your honeymoon.
Ask friends or family what sort of holidays abroad they reccommend.
when you have found somewhere look it up on the net to see what it is like and peoples opinions of the place you have picked.
Go to the travel agents and ask them about holidays for a honeymoon. Do you want all inclusive this is all meals/drinks or self catering. Do you want a place that is quiet or lively ect Do you want the weather hot or hotter ect.
Once you have found your ideal honeymoon destination the travel agent will book it all for you hotel/flights/insurance ect.
My daughter and her boyfriend had never booked a holiday abroad on their own before and they went into a travel agent and they found a fantastic bargain holiday all inclusive and the agents sorted it all for them. When you go make sure you both know where you want to go and tell them it is your honeymoon as they will look after you a lot better also if you have a budget tell them as you do not want to pay more than you can afford.
If you go abroad remember to find out currancy/money and you can order this at your bank before you go.
Have a fantastic day and a wonderful honeymoon.

If you are going abroad it is better to use a travel agent they will sort it all out. Tell them your needs and they will guide you all the way. If you are staying in your own country you could book a hotel from a holiday brochure and book and pay for your travel expenses separately. Have a lovely time !!!!!!!

Talk with a local travel agent and find out what all-inclusive resorts are having specials when you want to go. A lot of places will give you special extras if you are on your honeymoon so find out about these ahead of time...also ask you travel agent; sometimes they can get you upgraded plane tickets or better hotel suites. Definately and all inclusive tropical destination is the way to go...that way you don't have to worry about one thing on vacation other than eachother... Sandals resorts even go as far as not letting you tip staff. Cruises are also a really good option...they also often give bonuses and upgrades to honeymooners.

It is always best to contact a travel agent the first time. You will pay a little more but they can recommend the best places for you and make sure you have all your papers intact. We went for the first time on our honeymoon as well and if we had not done this I would have not known about any types of paperwork we needed for leaving the country as well as funds, tips, or any other details that they were so informative about.

I'd be in the same boat as you. Find a reliable travel agent (ask friends of family for a referral), and they'll set you straight on everything and give you tons of information. Sounds as though for the first trip you should do a tour, where everything is booked for you and you have less to worry about. It depends on where you are going, though. Good luck and have fun!

There not ever was once a yahoo moon touchdown! The whole factor was once acted out within the basement of Y by way of the entire suspended debts! And I'm guessing the lacking query mark is a few of that ordinary conduct they're speaking approximately when you consider that everyone knows how they insist upon that punctuation mark!

either pay more and let the travel agent sort it all out, or do the flight & hotel seperately on the internet and save money. don't forget you will have to sort the travel from the airport to the hotel if you do on the internet.

We went on A Royal Caribbean cruise. It was fantastic, food around every corner, great weather, plenty to do.
The down side was having to mingle with 3500 other passengers and 1500 crew and having to tolerate crass Americans
However a friend of mine said he had a great honeymoon.......he and his wife never left the bedroom
