I need to re-write this question because alot of people assumed the wrong thing. My bf (JOE) and I were looking for rings for a couple months, we knew we couldn't afford a shnazzy one, but we just kept looking. WELL his cousin was ring shopping as well with JOE's mom - and When she saw a ring she thought I would love- she called up JOE and said I found the perfect ring, and then offered to buy it- cause she knew our financial state. JOE knew she had the money to do it- so agreed. This way he could get a ring on my finger alot sooner then we both thought. When he proposed I was shocked, like where did you get the money for this.. long story short, a few days ago she told him, she regreted buying that ring for us, like blessing us with that ring was a mistake! He proposed early July- we're not even married yet. NOW my question is how do we go about giving her the ring back?

It is a combo wedding/birthday party (the grooms son) it is at their home, and they are asking everyone to bring a dish to pass. I thought this was completely corny. Money is not an issue here, they are not rich, but they are ok in that department. Why should I (or anyone for that matter) Buy a wedding present, buy his son a gift (I barely know him because he lives with his mom in another state) and bring a dish to their wedding/birthday party. Am I being coldhearted? How do I turn down this invitation? If I am being coldhearted please tell me and I will hold my tongue and go. Thanks!

I'm going to be married in october to a man I love very much but here is the thing.He is very controling and jealous. He has taken my cell phone away and I'm only allowed to use it if he's around. He took the phone because he doesn't like me haveing to talk to my ex-husband. The only reason I have to talk to my ex is because we have kids toghether. And I had to send my kids to live with my ex because of my future husbands behavior. So anybody Please help! Do I marry him or go back home with my kids?

Recently my boss got married and didn't invite anyone from the department to his wedding. a total of 5 of us is in the department. we communicate on a work basic that's about it. we all have the normal gripe about the job and towards the boss as any other normal work environment is. my co-workers and I were approach by other employees and was ask did any of us attend his wedding. NO we weren't invited. We got a lot of negative reaction from other employees who thought that he should of given us the opportunity to decline if we weren't going to attend. how long have we known our boss you may ask over 10 years. I have no plans what so ever to invite him to my wedding and that's final. but my fiancé is being a pain in the *** about this issue. she thinks despite how he acted about his wedding we should still invite him. "I say hell mf no". is there a written rule that says we should invite him.? why waste a stamp when there is a grate chance he might decline? so what are your thought on.

See i have never meet my really dad and i tryed my best when i was 18 to 19 years old to talk to him and to try to meet my reall dad and it did not work I wanted to meet him so i would know what he is like!!! But that never happend!!!! My wedding is november 11th 2006!!!!! My partner and iare getting married on 21st July 2007, we reveiwed our budget recently and found we only have £800 left for the honeymoon (weddings are sooo expensive!) If you had a parent that you have never been close to, due to separation, divorce, moving, whatever; would you invite them to your wedding?
Not to change what they did or the reasons for lack of the mutual communication, but to allow them the chance to be a part of your special day. (unless that person did something totally unforgivable or is dangerous)
