is it fake diamonds or rhinestones? would u be mad if your fiance bought u a cubic zirconia ring for your wedding day? why, or why not? and is buying one for your bride or groom an extremely tacky, stupid, and unthoughtful thing to do?

Ok this is an interesting dilemma. My man out of the clear blue sky asked me what shape of stone I liked. I said I wasn't fussy but preferred square or round and not marquise. He hasn't asked me about size but he's said he doesn't believe in spending all kinds of money on a ring. he thinks its stupid. I've been married twice before. Both of my rings were over 1 ct. in size. I love my man and know I want to say yes already but I hate to see him spend all kinds of money on a ring I know Im going to dislike. He doesn't even want me to help him pick it out because he says "he wants it to be a surprise" because its the surprise that counts. Well today I did the absolute taboo thing. I told him I didnt care if it was a regular band because I'd rather wear a plain band than wear an engagement ring I wasn't going to like at all. He said it hurt his feelings but I told him it wasn't meant that way. It was me who has to wear it the rest of my life. If the guy walks, he walks. I love him

I asked this ? b4.I found out why after talking 2 him. He's White,Catholic & lives with his folks. I'm East Indian, 34 & Catholic. He's been living with them most his adult life. He has a steady job now. So he takes care of some of their bills, bought them a brand new car when they already had a car & does alot
of work around da house 4 dem. Since he travels alot 4 his work
his dad pays his bills & deposits his payck when he's away.
So he has their name on his account. When dis became an
issue I asked him about it & he said it's been that way for years
& why should he change it now & Bank will mess up if he tries
2 change it. Now he says he will not put money in that acct after
we get married. When his folks got 2 AZ for winter he will pay
their bills. His mail will still go 2 their home ater we marry. His
room is next 2 his parents. When he changes he never closes the door. His parents got upset when we snugled 2gether & huged each other in the couch. I still luv him alot

I have a friend who is getting married who's fiance's best man just got sent to Iraq. They are looking for a way to honor him during the ceremony. The following are some suggestions I thought of, if anyone thinks of any other ideas, please post them. Thanks!

*If not having anyone else stand in, just have a picture of him on a podium next to the groom. Not leaning too much this way though because it seems more like a memorial.

*Have someone else stand in but include the original best man in the program and the reason he could not be there.

Any other thoughts? Thanks!

I dont understand this at all. We always says that "ladies first" and also "what a man can do a woman can do far better? if so then why the women dont make it real to prove it by themselves?

I think it is just jitters, but he is working every last nerve and if I stay around him to long, I'm gonna hit him over the head with something. When he's not around and I don't talk to him as much, it is easier for me to focus. But then he'll come up and say something crazy (really new behavior) and then it's on again.
~~Love him to bits and pieces, I just need a minute to focus, how do I do that and not alienate him from what is going on?

it falls upon me to organize a stag for my great brother who is getting married.

He, David, is choosing NOT to invite many of the people who i thought of as our good friends to his wedding or reception. So who do i invite to the stag? It seems odd to invite guys who may wonder or even feel slighted to not have been invited by my brother to the wedding? Please, what do you think?

We were Very Very close. I still see her in my mind and hear her
voice everyday. She tells me everything is fine and not to worry. Yesterday we were talking and she asked me if I remembered to feed the cat and water the flowers I planted on her grave. I said yes of course. She said "I know Darling, I can hear your footsteps above me when you come to water them." We talk about all the good times we shared, all the laughter and we laughed again for old time's sake. She said she was sorry that she hadn't been able to live long enough for the wedding we had planned. The cancer took her away so quickly. Oh Emily, I miss you so much. Well, heres my problem. I want to dig her up. She said O.K. but she is a little worried that she won't be as responsive to my affections as she used to be and I would be disappointed in her. Its been 3 months now and the batteries in the cellphone I placed in her coffin are almost dead. I can dial her. But she can't dial out. What should I do?
