We were Very Very close. I still see her in my mind and hear her
voice everyday. She tells me everything is fine and not to worry. Yesterday we were talking and she asked me if I remembered to feed the cat and water the flowers I planted on her grave. I said yes of course. She said "I know Darling, I can hear your footsteps above me when you come to water them." We talk about all the good times we shared, all the laughter and we laughed again for old time's sake. She said she was sorry that she hadn't been able to live long enough for the wedding we had planned. The cancer took her away so quickly. Oh Emily, I miss you so much. Well, heres my problem. I want to dig her up. She said O.K. but she is a little worried that she won't be as responsive to my affections as she used to be and I would be disappointed in her. Its been 3 months now and the batteries in the cellphone I placed in her coffin are almost dead. I can dial her. But she can't dial out. What should I do?

Baby, you have to let go. I know it hurts, but digging her up is not going to help you. She's not the person you remember. Get a visual on what I'm saying. Treasure the conversations you have, seek counseling, and work toward living. I'm saying forget her, but you and she are not in the same physical place anymore. Surround yourself with people that love you and can help you thru this. It will be a long road, but if you don't do this soon, it's gonna get much worse for you.

Find a counselor immediately.

They have free or little cost agencies in your city. Call your Dr. for a referral or the suicide hot-line.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

some churches have grief workshops and retreats and counseling --maybe something like that would be helpful.

How about developing your ESP (extra-sensory perception)? That way, you can do without batteries.

LMAO! When you write a novel, let me know! I am sure that it will be highly quirky and entertaining!

This is sick. Get help.

And next time, try asking a real question.
