Dad is an asshole. She wants both of them there but dad refuses it's either him or brother. They do not get along. Her brother is walking her now alone. She wants a song for them as brother and sister. He's been great to her.

My son- who is 10 is walking me down the aisle. i do not know my father and my brother's health isn't the greatest, even though he was originally supposed to walk me. So whoever the bride wants to walk her down the aisle is totally up to her.

I dont believe that there is anything written in stone that says that you need your father to walk you down the aisle.

If her brother is like a father figure to her, they can dance a slow song, but i think it would be cool to do it! What a nice way to show him how much she loves him!

There is nothing wrong with this. What suggestions do you need?

One of my best male friends walked me down the aisle. I wouldn't have it any other way. Aside from my husband, this guy is the next most important man in my life. letting him walk me down the aisle also let HIM know that even though I am married, he is still special to me.

She can have anyone she wants walk her down the aisle. And she can tell the DJ to announce what ever dances she wants.

That's a great idea. The person who walks you down the aisle doesn't have to be your father - sometimes there is another male in your life who plays an even more important role.

What's the problem?

Is Dad not available - not desirable to walk her down the aisle?

I would do a little livelier tune to dance to than I would with a parent, but other than that.

A toast to her! I'm having my brother and son walk me down. My aunt walked her daughter down. I can't think of any songs off the top of my head, but the d.j. or band leader are pros. Just tell her to confer with them before the wedding and I'm sure they can come up with something that will be perfect. Oh, and tell your friend-
It's her father's loss! The selfish bastard! {I just threw that part in for myself. I feel better now :) }

Theres nothing wrong with that.. I think it sounds nice, esp. if her dad and/or mother passed away.

A song i would recommend is You'll be in my heart by phil collins or Have I told you lately that I love you by rod stewart.

Or, they could pick something that is meaningful to them. :)
