Does anybody have- or know somebody that has this type of jewelry? I've seen them on QVC- but maybe somebody has experience with them, the good and the bad..?

I don't have diamonique. But I have seen them and they are nice. Who cares what you wear. It's your ring. If someone else don't like it too bad. I've seen some of them that look incredibly real. I couldn't tell the difference. But then again I'm not a jewelry snob. If you like it wear it!
If I was ever going to get married again, I would consider a diamonique.

Diamonique Wedding Rings

I think that would depend on your girl. Some women will care if it is not real, others will not. Some women would prefer matching silver bands with an inscription inside or a tiny diamond or even another gem in lieu of a diamond. Why don't you just hint around to her? I think it all depends on her view of a diamonique versus diamond. Your salary and her expectations should be aligned. Perhaps she would rather skip the expensive ring in order to have a nice wedding, honeymoon, or a down payment for a house. If she insists on a diamond ring, you can purchase a small diamond ring at a place that allows you to upgrade it later on down the road. You can also get a beautiful white gold ring with another stone and later put a diamond in it, but keep the original band for sentimental reasons. Another thing to consider is if this is your first marriage or second. Did you purchase a diamond ring for another woman before? If so, then it may hurt her feelings if you purchased a ring that wasn't as nice.

Diamonique Wedding Bands

My mom has tons of stuff from Diamonique that is well over 15yrs old and they still look stunning.

As for a wedding ring I will say this to all the nay sayers out there, to each their own! Meaning if the Diamonique ring you're referring to is in the setting and diamond size you want then go for it and once your future husband has become well established in his career then if you still love the setting upgrade it to real diamonds.

I guess some people don't comprehend the concept of wanting a certain ring regardless of price (low or high) and knowing they can upgrade later. It's no different than the couple that can only afford plain bands but 10yrs later they are financially secure and the lovely lady gets a new glamorous set that her hubby always wanted to get her.

Good luck in your decision and remember, nobody has to know but you and him!

You go ahead and get whatever you like and whatever you can afford. So what if it's a fake diamond? If you don't care, then no one else should either. Besides, no one has to know unless you tell them.

It's the metal you need to watch out for in rings, because the wrong metal will turn your finger green. Make sure it's real gold and not plated gold.

Don't you listen to these people who are saying that engagement rings have to be real diamonds. First, I've seen engagement rings with mother of pearl, sapphire, and ruby. They don't all have diamonds. Second, I've read your other questions and understand your situation. Get something you like. I wouldn't mind if my ring wasn't real diamond; if you are content with this, then don't listen to the naysayers.

In Canada it's called Diamonelle formerly cubic zurconia, and the technology has improved so much that you really can't tell it from the real thing. I own a diamonelle ring and have received a lot of compliments on it. I have never had a bad experience with the ring. Only the jeweller can tell the difference from the real thing. But I would NEVER accept a diamonelle ring from a finace...I want the REAL THING!

My mom has quite a few pieces of diamonique jewelry. It's really pretty. A lot of people can't tell the difference. IF that is all you can afford right now, then that's ok. It's all about what makes you feel good. It is not about what others think.

My mom and my step-dad had two kids to raise. She got a diamonique ring about 20 years ago. She still wears it from time to time, but my dad has upgraded her ring. As they became more financially stable, they got her a better/bigger/real ring, but she still loves that first one. It is a symbol of how they were going to grow together.

I think you should get whatever you like and can afford. Its about the commitment....not the piece of jewelry!
