well first learn to spell propose right. Then ask in a very serious way in a appropriate place to spend her life with you. Your not selling yourself for christ sake. Relax it just a question that might have a no to it. Thats the worst that can come out of it.

I proposed without the roses and diamond ring.
What I did was to design my own "Husband Redemption Voucher" with a bold sentence " Will you marry me?" and layout the "Terms and Conditions" like redemption for a diamond ring, promising her the love, care and happiness that I will give to her...and so on. It was a pretty big piece of voucher which I got it printed on a piece of craft paper using my home printer.
I made it!!! I am going to get married next year....
Roses, ring and on knees maybe the expectation of a gal but I had decided to go against it and do it differently.
Anyway there is no right or wrong ways to propose to a gal...it can be done empty handed but with a sincere heart.

Step #1: buy an engagement ring you can't afford.
#2: take her out and buy a lavish meal you can't afford
#3: drop to your knees, bow your head and say, "I give up, I can no longer keep up the fight for my freedom. You have my permission to enslave me, belittle me in front of my friends, deny me any hobbies, take all my money and buy knick-knacks for the house we will buy but can't afford, make me wear chothes I hate, make me feel guilty if I watch TV, withhold sex for the the smallest offense, and worst of all, force me to go through a silly wedding ceremony that I have NO say so in but will be screamed at for not being involved enough and stood before my family and soon to be forgotton friends, whip out my manhood and have it snipped off and stomped on in front of everyone"
That's how you may as well do it.

well my husband did this it was really cute
see he has keys to my house so after our date he left or so i thought. i woke up in the middle of the night and next to me was rose petals and a sparkling diamond ring when i looked over there was my husband on one knee!
