No, she doesn't have to, it's really a matter of personal taste. some people also have her wear a little girl style dress in the same color of the bridesmaids. Personally, my flower girl wore a dress the exact duplicate of mine. She was so cute! When I was the flower girl in my aunt's wedding (almost 20 years ago!) the bride's maids wore a silver dress, and i wore a really pretty lavender dress with lots of frills - nothing at all like what my aunt (the bride) wore. Hope this helps! Congrats to the bride and groom! :^)

Of course not. Only the bride wears white. The flower girl should wear the same color or a similar color to the bridesmaids' gowns.

When I got married we had a miniture bride and groom then they wear one simular to the bride but the flower girl should wear something to match the maids of honor. Color wise that is. Good luck with the wedding. May the Good Lord Bless and guide you.

Heck, no! The bride is the ONLY one to wear white... or whatever color (pearl, cream, ivory) that she chooses. Even guests shouldn't wear white (or whatever color the bride is wearing). The flower girl usually wears the same color dress as the bridesmaids or a complimentary color (such as the bridesmaids wearing purple and the flower girl wearing lavender).

Only if you want her to be a "Jr. Bride" / flower girl. If you would prefer that she wear a dress the same color as your bridesmaids, that would be fine, or even a complimentary color can be chosen.

Bottom line, there are no rules that insist that it be one way or another...you are totally free to choose what kind of dress fits best into your dream of your perfect day.

Not at all. The flower girl can wear any dress that compliments the colors and style of the entire wedding party.

She can wear whatever color or type of dress the bride wants her to wear. After all it is the brides day, she gets to call all the shots.

It's traditional for the flower girl to wear white, but putting her in the same colors as the bridesmaids would be fine. Just don't make the poor thing stick out like a sore thumb.

No The bride should pick something age appropriate and in any color the bride likes, perhaps the same color as the brides maids.

No, she can be dressed however the bride wants. Sometimes they have them in the same color as the bridesmaids, or a complementary color. I even saw one little flower girl who they had wear little fairy wings with her dress- very adorable!
