If the bride and groom invited you verbally, then just tell them you're coming as soon as you know!

I think it depends on the formality of the wedding and also the location. If it's a casual backyard kind of wedding then yes, I would go. Also in some smaller towns it is more common. I came from a large city where I would have never have attended a wedding on a verbal invitation but in the small town I live in now it is actually quite common for some country folks. I guess it boils down to who invited you and how comfortable you would feel going. If I believed I was an afterthought though, there is not way I'd go.

Yes, why not? If you are that sensitive, then politely decline. An invitation is just that, it means to put yourself on the back burner and celebrate someone else. There are many circumstances that would cause a couple to give a verbal invitation. If I were invited, I would be honored that someone thought that much of me.

No, if you don't get an invitation in the mail they were just being polite. There will not be a name tag on a table for you. There will be no free food for you. There will be an open bar though, so you may want to crash the wedding even though you are not invited.

yes especially in the south.Make sure it was an invite directly from the bride or groom. Some people just run out of invitations.I would not take offense. Unless of course this is a huge society wedding where they have registered at tiffanys in that case no.

It is depending on the situation. But some people want to save money and they ask their friends and close relatives. They only send out invites to distant relatives.

Well.. that is sort of unusual.. maybe they want to save the cost of sending an invitation.. If it was that way and from a VERY close friend, I probably would

depends on how well i knew the person.....if i was close I'm sure i would of gotten a written one....and if i didn't i would take the hint they didn't want me there......and as for not really knowing the person and getting a verbal invite i would just ignore it.....

Probably not, I'd still wait for the invitation in the mail.
