My best friend used a lovely red as her accent color for her February wedding. It's perfect with Valentine's Day and all. Any winter colors are lovely that time of year, ice blues, sapphire blues.
I was asking this same question about my May wedding coming up. I decided I'd really love a rich, deep leaf green to represent the leaves of spring. I love the idea, but the dresses looked strange in full green.
I finally got some fabulous advice, though, from someone:
Do not try to match your colors with the season, close your eyes and envision your wedding party. Go with the colors that you love to work with, not with what may be 'proper'. There are no rules when it comes to these things. You are the BRIDE and should use whatever colors you love and feel that your bridesmaids would look lovely in!
Congrats on your engagement and good luck! Planning can be so stressful!

I would say that the darker colors are appropriate since it is still considered the winter months. I am getting married in March and I am having Cranberry & Cream as the colors. I think a rich red or warm browns would be pretty.
Pretty much you can go with any color- if you want to change up the mood a bit, and go off tradition- you can try a more spring like color to add a bit of flair- with the pretty warm yellows, blues, pinks, greens or purples. Also depends on the region that you are in- if it is going to be snowy or not.
Congratulations! :0)

I think the best colors to use for a February wedding are dark red and ivory almost beige, or an ice blue and dark blue look great together.I found this web site that may help you with all that!

Greens! They are absolutely beautiful darling, ah look up Kelis and Nas's wedding online. Its amazing her dress, flowers and table coverings. Its like a midsummers night dream but in feb. Itll be sure to lighten everyones spirits because of the glum feburary weather. But reds also nice with the snow! Red roses. black and red themed. BEAUTIFUL DARLING!

Colors you like.
If you have no preferences, take your bridesmaids shopping and find a dress they like. Find out what colors it is available in. This will keep you from having to special order, and will save money on the dresses. It will also ensure you use colors that are timely.

I got married in the evening in November and my colors were black and white. I had a lot of candle light in the ceremony. my bridesmaids carried glass globes with sand, flowers, and a candle. It was very pretty. The guys all wore black and white tuxedos while the girls wore black dresses trimmed in white, except for my husband, who wore an all black tux.

Please, no reds and whites. Too cliche' and Valentine-sy. I agree with the comment about richer colors (think: crimson reds, deep navies, burgundy, deep greens), but lavenders and pinks also work very well at this time of year. As well as steel blue.
