I am planning on going on a honeymoon during spring break of 2007. No beach, no cruise and we want to stay in the US. We have searched all over for ideas, but come up with nothing. If anyone any cheap ideas......please share.

What do you consider "cheap"? What do you condsider "unusual"? Where are you located? What do you like to do?

Something unusual could be going to spring training for your favourite baseball teams. It could be going to LA and taking a graveyard and famous crime scene tour. It could mean going to New Orleans and taking a ghost tour. It could mean going to Salem, Mass and getting caught up in the witch trial hysteria. It could mean spending a week doing a "volunteer vacation". Or, do a driving trip and stop at every cheezy museum and tourist attraction along the way. Do three days out and three days back.

Barricade yourselves into your apartment..... It's not like you are gonna see the surrounding area on a honeymood anyway you will be too busy with the scenery you brought with you... Stock up on supplies before hand so you have everything you need, take the phone off the hook and pretend you are anywhere you want to be... You can plan a menu before hand/ or call daily and ask a friend or relative to deliver dinner to the door at a preset time each evening like room service...

Make a list of meusems etc. in your area and take a series of day trips to these out of the way places.... Include nature walks/hikes in your plans...

How about Mackinac Island? Its beautiful and if you stay on the mainland and take the ferry over its cheaper. Look it up online. We stayed at The Beach House. We had a private cottage right on the beach for like $60/night. THe rooms were small, but the bed was comfy, the water hot, and the staff very nice.

Niagra falls? Disneyland? Look up your states tourist attractions and see what you would like to do, that you never have.
