Sorry for asking more of the same, but in asking about marriage, people highlighted the importance of sex. Is it possible to make a marriage work without full-on sex?

Don't get me wrong...I am not all together against it...it is just when it cuts into the portions that I receive..it really bothers me. Ok...he agreed with me and this wasn't a shouting match or anything like that...that he would lay off of it for a little while. Everything was great between us, intimacy, hugs the guy I fell in love with came back. A few days ago he bagan with the distance, and just seemed weird to me. Anyhow today I sit down at our computer to begin working and these porn pop ups start. I look in the cookies to see what has been going on. I asked him and he said he hadn't been. Then he admitted it, then he called me a mother hen for looking over his shoulder.....i don't think I was. Anyhow, what in the devil do you make of this?

I'm 18. I'm really curious about this, as I'd like to marry and have a committed relationship somtime in the future. I've heard quotes like...

"Marriage is the best way to ruin a beautiful relationship"

"Marriage is a grounds for divorce"

"One should always be in love - that's why one should never get married"

What's more, I hear so many middle-aged married men complaining about their wives and their lack of freedom. But I've always thought that marriage would be ideal, a perfect bond that should last for life.

As far as I can remember, 2/3 families divorce. How **** is that? All opinions and responses appreciated.

I know this is in a different section but I was hoping for a bit more.. how to say.. grown up response to the question that may be more helpful

There is a lot of background that no one will really want to read, so here are the cliff's notes.. My ex from, oh 5 years ago, and I have been talking off and on the last few years. We started to get back together but she ended up going back to her ex. She really didnt know what she wanted I think.

So now there has been more time. We started talking again and we're both single but kind of seeing other people on the side here and there. I stopped seeing other people because I'm completely in love with her. There isn't another girl I would rather be with.

She thinks i'm still clingy, which i'll admit i was in the past. Right now I been letting her come to me and such. Now, I know she is starting to talk with this other guy and now i'm feeling i should fight for her but kind of hard if she thinks i'm being clingy.

Any suggestions?

marriage is a choice and a life style. Divorce is the outcome of unfortunate circumstances and in my opinion it has NO buisness being put together with marrage.

It's like putting singles and gays together,
or Christians and Atheism together.

I bet there would be some real sparks if Abortionist and Pro-life were the same group.

I went to my friend's Halloween party this year without my husband. He knew I was going. He had gone hunting. I knew everyone there and they were all my friends. I got a little tipsy, and the next thing I know, I was cornered by a guy and my costume was being pulled off. I felt like I couldn't move (maybe he put something in my drink). The only thing that stopped him was another friend coming into the room and yelling at him. The worst part is this guy is one of my husband's close friends, he was even in our wedding!! He was always some one I though i could trust. I scared to tell my husband. I'm worried he might literaly try and kill his friend. but I don't want him to stay friend with this looser either. any suggestions?

I have a new co-worker. She is having an affair with one of the married associates at our firm. Allthough she is good at her job, she got the position because of him, as she wasn't previously qualified. This guy's wife just found out she has cancer, and that it is terminal. Instead of being there for her, he continues in this blatant affair. Here is my problem. We have a very tight-knit office, and are all very friendly with each other. We all go out to lunch, etc., and socialize with each other, but I can't bring myself to accept this person. Everytime I look at her, I think about what she is doing (she knows.) How can I get past this to have a working relationship with her, that is necessarily close in nature because of our small office?

I am writing this letter in hopes that you will be able to help my friend Jennifer. She is a single mother of 3 great kids, she recently got married (in July) and after 4 short months of being married the guy just decided that isnt what he wanted. He wouldn't give her much time to try to get a place so within 2-3 weeks she had to get a place for her and the kids to go. You see Jennifer doesn't have any family close by her and she lost her mother at age 5 I think so she has never had her mother around. She had to take every penny she had to get into an apartment and now that she has it she doesn't know how she is going to pay her rent for the month of december. she works a job during the week when she is able to get a babysitter for her youngest and then on the weekends for works a differant job. She deserves a break, she is so down she feels as if there is no help out here for her. she is only 25 and she tries so hard for her kids, so can someone out here help her & the kids?

sorry, I posted this in another section but I really need an answer because I'm supposed to see my boyfriend tonight and I want to know if I should confront him...

I never wanted to be a jealous girlfriend, but every person I’ve told this too seems to think he’s being unfaithful. In order to know why I’m suspicious, you should know he cheated on me this past summer and called me by another girl’s name while we were having sex. So, bearing that in mind…
There’s this girl who’s “friends” with my boyfriend. It started out that she would just call him and talk to him about her relationship problems but it’s been slowly escalating. She works at a food store and is always giving him free food so he’ll come visit (he has new BAGS of it every time I go to his house). Slowly, I started to notice that she’s usually twirling her hair, talking in a really girly voice and openly flirting with him even when I’m in the store with him (against my will, of course). Neither of them seem to notice or care that I’m in the same room. She calls him by his nickname and they’re always talking to each other when we’re out in a group.
Since she doesn’t make enough money (she rents out an apartment by herself…) he will randomly let her work with him while he valets, sometimes neglecting previous plans we’ve made. She doesn’t own her own car so he drives her to and from work (way out of the way) and since he valets he often doesn’t get home until past 3:00 in the morning. This guy I’m friends with who works at the place he valets at referred to her as “that girl he keeps f***ing around with”. And just yesterday he didn’t call me all day or answer my text message during his lunch hour. When I called him last night he was at a concert with her and “a few of their friends”.
There’s been other inklings too (I‘ve been reading up on this). He doesn’t answer his phone calls when I’m with him, he always takes a shower when he comes home, and he isn’t up for sex like a 20-something male should be. Am I just being a crazy girlfriend… or is he cheating?

Many women nowadays feel that Men who want to have a "submissive" wife is "insecure" and can't handle "strong" women blah..blah.. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Ladies(and Gents) please tell me, what's wrong with wanting to have a "submissive" wife? If I get married one day I want to have a "submissive" wife because I want my woman feminine, loving and attractive.

We are taking a short day trip tomorrow to an art museum in the next state (his idea). For the trip, I bought a CD by his favorite band that was just released this week. I am planning on popping it in the player after we leave the city limits, and ask him how he likes his present. :-)

Any other ideas for a fun trip? We are going to come home the same day.

My friend's soon to be ex filed for divorce and he was served the divorce papers toward the end of August. He didn't contest anything but we're wondering how long it will take before the initial hearing.

Also, when is a divorce final in California? Is it 6 months after he was served the papers or 6 months after the hearing?

My husband and I are having a debate about whether or not men can be heartbroken over a woman. He said he's never been heartbroken when he dated before we were married, and I, myself have never seen a man that I dated heartbroken. Men seem to move on so much quicker than women. What do you think?

My husband's sister just left her spouse. They are getting a divorce. The problem is she is seeing somebody already. Her husband is being very generous in the divorce because he has no idea about the cheating. I feel that it is wrong for this to be happening. She is a drunk (supposedly recovering) and has treated him like crap for years. She has ruined their credit. And it just kills me that once again she is screwing him over. While I do think he is an idiot for putting up with this for all these years, he still was a good husband to her. If I did tell him, I would do it anonymously. My husband agrees that he should be told but we do know for sure. I know that he would stand up for himself more in the divorce if he knew all the facts. They have 2 teenage kids living with him. She has stated that she doesn't want the kids to stay with her. Why should she get any support from him if she has a new man to take care of her and she won’t have the kids?

My boyfriend's divorce isn't quite final yet, legally speaking. Until we moved in together, he was barely able to cover all his bills, much less the money he owes his ex for child support every month. The company he works for is entering their slow season and he's struggling to pull 40 hours a week. He told his ex he would pay as much as he could for December, but that he might not be able to come up with the full amount he owes her. She said that because I live with him she can come after me for the difference. It would be one thing if we were already married, but we're not. We don't even have a joint bank account. Is she right that I can be held responsible for my boyfriend's child support payments just because we live together?

shift so when I come home from work at 5pm, he is up waiting for supper & either on the computer or watching tv. How come some husbands help with supper or dishes or whatever? I'll be working 2 jobs soon & will be dead tired. What does he expect then? Then I make his lunch for work. Some of my friends husbands actually cook dinner. Why is he so darn lazy? Does he think it's still the 1960's?
