Yes. Stealing is stealing. Just because he/she is a family member doesn't mean you should cut them a break and go spend tons more money on a replacement ring! Calling the police will definitely save you lots of money!

That's got to be your call, i mean, can't you discuss this with your husband to begin with? You know, everyone thinks differently about these things, i personally would contact the person, get my ring back and make it abundantly clear, if it or anything like it happens again, you are not giving them a heads up, your involving the police, but that is me,

i have been the same situation....i wanted to call the police...hubby didn't...my rings were gone and other things too....we discussed it and i stood behind his decision...i still believe we should have, but he didn't want to cause problems in the family (nephew)....i never got my rings or other items back...we don't speak with him...but the rest of the family still remains in tact....hard choice...you have to decide with your hubby...good luck, and i hope you get your rings back...oh by the way...it was years later, but i got a new wedding set last year for my birthday, and i love them...and i never will take in anymore family members to help them out.

yes. you should call the police. but me personally.... I would beat that bytch to the ground (if its a female) or have my husband or one of my brothers do it (if its a male).

but yeah, you should call the police and press full charges. this relative did not respect you enough as family not to steal from you, so why should you do them any favors by not calling the police??

Yes, call the police. What else will make them stop doing it again?

I would tell the person who stole it they have the option, either they return it asap or you call the cops.

And yes, I would call the cops....in a New York minute.

This family member will never learn from his actions unless someone makes him pay for what he has done.
