When society tells gay men that they can not marry each other and that the normal thing to do is to marry a woman, then ,any woman become victims of fake and unhappy marriages. This could be easily avoided by allowing gay marriages. Shouldn't straight women support gay marriages in order to avoid what happened to Lisa Minelly and thousands of other straight women?

Why do I feel a sort of electrical charge around him? It's like I can't get enough of him. I'm crazy about him. He's described feeling the same thing. Not in conversation just offhandedly and at odd moments. Being with him feels very spiritual to me. No person alive has ever made me feel this way. My ex husband never even came close. Is this what is called love? I mean, I've experienced love of course, but what I mean is just this feeling that I could not have for anyone else in the world. And never have, ever before.

How do you forgive someone who you gave your heart and life to?
My husband cheated on me twice right after we got married, I mean RIGHT after and then lied to me about it. Ever since then we have had problems of all sorts.

I am a good husband, my wife tells me so when she isn't on one of her rampages. She tells me that she can't understand why I continue to put up with her emotional dysfunction. I'm beginning to wonder myself.

I work full time to provide a moderate standard of living for my wife and step-daughter. I don't drink or smoke and take my role as a husband/father seriously.

My wife is a self-employed cosmetologist and barely makes enough money to pay her overhead leaving nothing to help support our family, she only goes to work when she "feels like it".

We go on 1 major vacation and usually 3 mini vacations each year.

I am constantly ridiculed for not making enough money, being too lazy (I work 6 days/week), and she undermines me by veto when it comes to parenting her daughter (even though we had agreed on the rules prior).

I made vows to stay with a marriage (for better or worse). I can't understand how anyone can justify this behavior.

Why would someone do this?

My friend and her companion have been together for 7 years and now live together. He has been separated for 10 years. They have known each other for several years. He still pays for half of the mortgage where his wife and teenage daughter is living even though he hasn't been there for 7 years. His reason for doing this is because his wife would not be able to maintain the house otherwise. He said one day she will move into a smaller house. I can't really say much about that other then damn!! I wish my ex would do that. He also pays 800 dollars for child support. There is always an excuse for the delay of the divorce. I think he is delaying the divorce because he does not want to pay his ex wife alimony. My girlfriend is confused about staying with him or not. Myself, well, I don't know what else to tell her. I personally don't think she should be with him. Sounds like too much drama and a lot of money going out. And, for you women out there be cautious dating men who are separated.!!

When my husband and I argue, sometimes he will REFUSE to speak to me whatsoever, even to work it out. When I ask him if he thinks not speaking to me helps "work it out" (obviously the answer is no) he says he doesn't care, he's not talking to me and he'll stay mad at me for a long time. Just about anytime I try and tell him something like "hey, I want you to help w/ laundry more..." he immediately gets po'ed and says I don't like to do anything for him and he's a burden to me, which is not true at all but he will NOT listen!! How do I argue w/ my husband without it getting this out of hand???

I want my husband to stop calling me! I love him but he's annoying me with his paranoia. I'm thinking of turning off my cell phone and all the phones in the house too. WOuld that be too cruel?

Why can't women just fess up to it and admit they don't want to pay child support either? I pay it, and I am not behind. Nobody wants to pay and if it's a woman that has to pay it's a sad story, but if a man has to pay it's justice..... just downright evil if you ask me. I think it's more about revenge and not wanting to pay, that's why people want the kids.... (it's about love too, but the child support clouds any opportunity at compromise!)

We've been married for 4 years. He's really sweet, well almost always sweet. We met at the park, he was jogging, I was doing yoga. He is obsessed with exercise. We used to exercise together, however, In February, I got a new job. It's been really stressful. I work long hours. I've gained 22 lbs since I've got my new job. Which I know is horrible, but I'm trying to work on it. I guess I eat when I'm stressed.....and I haven't had time to exercise. Anyways, I'm going to try to lose some weight! But my husband is being insensitive. He is constantly complaining about my size. I'm 5'6" and since my weight gain.....ranging around 140-150. He calls me names "porker, marathon eater" ect. I'm no way fat! However, I'm not really fit anymore, I got some flab on my stomach. I'm thinking he never really like me for me, if he cares so much about my size. Is this normal husband behavior?

anymore. How do I get him to understand that we need help each other when times get tough as oppose to him "shutting down"? I am a talker, a lover, I need affection when I am stressed... he wants to play video games, study and basically be left alone. We have two wild young boys that are just about to drive us both crazy. Again He leaves it all up to me to handle....

I just wish he could see things my way. I feel like Im running on empty and the person who Im supposed to count on most is MIA when things get tough.

Am I the only one who married into this kinda deal? Is my hubby being a jack *** or are most men like this? I just dont know anymore!!!

I am 18 and have been with my boyfriend for over 2 years and I want to marry him and he wants to marry me. But nothing yet. When we first went out we knew that we wanted to get married and now he says it but tells me it takes time and i know it does but everyone around us is getting engaged and married. i hate it. i guess i am jealous of what i dont have and i hate seeing people around us having it all. his cousins are in their 20s and they are either married already or engaged and i dont understand why they have it and i dont. what makes them more special then me. i know this sounds selfish and everything. i just love my boyfriend very much and would love to marry him. i just dont get why everyone around us is doing it and we arent. he told me he doesnt want me to settle for a cheap wedding or lousy wedding ring. which is amazing. i am just starting to think the wedding isnt coming anytime soon.

why do some people get married at age 17 and others have to wait til age 35??

I've divorced for over 5 years to my ex with whom we have 2 daughters ages 7 and 11. He divorced me to be with another woman. I remarried 3 years ago and have a son with my husband and another baby boy due in december.
After my divorce, my ex lived 4 hours away for 3 years and saw them when he could, he now lives in the same town as me and we have 50/50 custody and visitation.
My current husband may have a possible job oppurtunity 8 hrs away making about $20,000 more a year with room for promotions and such. He wants to pursue this career path for it benifits all of us. I don't want to move without my daughters though. I have never been apart from them. I would have to take my ex back to court for I know for a fact he would dispute it. My ex is not married with no other children. I would most likely go back to the old parenting plan when we first divorced. Feedback please.

A "friend" is married six months ago. They have a baby together. She recently started an account with a popular social network. In her survey/profile, she lists her "type" as slim and 5'10". In parenthesis, she adds that her husband is 5'7". ? I'm wondering if this is a subconscious way of letting potential suitors know that she is "looking". ?
Why else mention her husband's heighth?
Curious and secretly hoping that she is looking to dump her husband. He's a jerk.

ok she wanted opinions and told me to write this. she was arranged to a nice guy and brought him to US. so basically he came to us because of her. he was soo nice sweet with narrow minded brain like clothesand he didn't like her working. she didn't mind. but then he started changing like he had upper hand in the relationship she would cry and ask him what's rong why is be being so distant. she is a real nice girl. she loves him. he treated her like crap in her pregnancy. wouldn't do anything for her. didn't care if she ate or if she is hungary. everyday quarrels made her depressed. she was down all the time. didn't care about pleasing her in bed no more. he would have sex with her and wouldn't even care about her orgasm. or sumtimes she would beg for se'x.and he would say i am tired my back hurts. then she left for three days, comes back and see dirty stuff online.the day she left and she had se'x with him and lateer he went online for dirty pics and movies etc.more details..
