Subject guys just don't get it.........
they just don't.. my husband is a drunken master. he doesn't even know it. he says its ok to drink and go out as long as he goes home. well, yeah once a week, but not 2x or 3x a week you're drunk. he drinks at home whenever he wanted to, 6-7 bottles of beer is not enough.. he says he's working and i'm not, so it's ok for him to drink.. did i mention that he's partime, he doesn't have to go to work everyday, just when needed.. i don't want to spend the rest of my life with this kind of person.. what am i gonna do?????????????

This choice must be yours and yours alone...but I just left a simular situation, and I am so glad I did. My husband drank every evening till drunk. I felt as if I had no life, it was like living with a drunk 16 year old. I am so content now just being alone, ( I sort got used to being alone as he passed out every night after picking on me ungodly..I couldn't wait for him to go to sleep) My only regret is staying for 24 years... Good Luck to you..You deserve more respect than that..

I have a problem with something you said at the beginning of your post. You said, "my husband"...You need to modify that to "my EX-HUSBAND"...you can do bad by yourself. He just don't get it? YOU just don't get it. This is not the Middle Ages. If you choose to stay in a bad relationship, you only have yourself to blame when the toxic relationship makes you sick. Life is all about choices. Make some.

Have a serious talk with him and let him know that he has a problem and he needs to fix it. Let him know that you will support him all the way if that's the route he chooses to take. If he refuses and continues to act like an idiot, leave and let him know you'll be back when he decides to accept your help.
Some of us get it :)

He needs AAA but it sounds like he is happy the way he is...if he refuses to get help with his drinking and you can't live with it...you just have to leave...I would not live with a drunk...I had to when I was little but I swore I would never do it as an adult...that is a promise I kept!!!!

Call Al-Anon right away. They are for spouses and family members of alcoholics. They're in the phone book and they can help.

Divorce him now. Don't wait to see if it will get better; it will only get much worse. You deserve better.
