What gets me is that he was so happy when i said yes! but now there is silence.

Several reasons. It could have been a dare, or just for fun. He might not have your number. He may be waiting for you to call him. You did say yes when he asked you out, right???
He could have been checking for another guy to see if you were available (I know, it's awful, but it actually happens quite a bit). And, the most logical, he could have just been very busy today. Wait a few days, and if he still doesn't call, you should either call him or dump him

Did you meet him online?? It might have been my soon to be X cheating husband, who lots of times has started new things with women and usually backs out before the meeting because on that day he convinced me to stay with him. Until I find out he had another date set up and leave again and the cycle continues . . .
I hope it's not him - Because we can all do better.

Maybe he has been busy. He just asked you out 1 day ago...it's not like he asked you out a few weeks ago and then never followed up! Give him a break.

Give him a chance to make contact. Its too early to tell. Dont stress about it so soon. Relax and go about with the other stuff in your life.

He's playing it cool. Its only Monday, i'm sure he'll talk to you before the weekend, so just relax. I'm sure he'll come around and see what your plans are for the weekend.
