I was with the same guy for like 5 years, then we moved in together for about 3 years, then finally we got married..... EVERYTHING stayed the same, I think it might even have made things better for us :) the only thing that changed was we had a piece of paper saying we are married

My husband and I lived together for over a year before getting married, and the main thing that "changed" for us after marriage was other people's perception of our relationship. The biggest change for *us* came when we moved in together - but once we "settled in" and figured out our routine, we were fine, and signing the marriage license didn't make a difference in how we viewed each other or treated each other.

My husband and I lived together before getting married. We just got married last month and before we got married, I was also wondering if there's gonna be any changes...
I'd say when we got married, we are still the same people we are but we both felt closer to each other knowing that our relationship is now with God's blessing.

My husband and I lived together before marrying. I think our life after marriage is better. We took a vow to stay together through thick and thin. We promised to each other, in front of our family, and friends that we would love, honor, and cherish each other until death. That's huge. It's more than a piece of paper to me....

I did not live long with my husband , before Married him .. But I can say that everything Changes , some in bad ways and some in good ways .. but if you really love him you will take the Good with the bad and Pray that there is enough Good to drown out the Bad !
It 's A great adventure if you love him for who he is !

What changes? Everything to some degree. Its simply that both individuals become complacent and no longer feel a need to woo each other. Prior to marriage it is probably a good conversation to have as to going out on dates, and maybe talk of how to keep things fresh and spicey. Marriage isn't necessarily a bad thing, it is something however that both people need to work at.
