My husband and I are trying to spend more QUALITY time together. We are looking for more unique things to do than just the typical night out to dinner and movies. We want to keep it semi cheap, (with the winter close approaching we have to consider the heating bill) but we also want to have fun!! Any suggestions.....?

I am new to this board. This one I fell really hard for, he says he has feelings for me but with everything going on in his life, he just can't give me the relationship that I deserve or should have. Wants me to still be his friend and still see each other, and talk on the phone. What he doesn't realize is that everytime I see it just about kills me. What do I do should I just chalk it up to lession learned, or should I give time and space to get his life straight (going through a divorce with two small children) and be patient. I am so confused. He says he doesn't want me out of his life just can't give me 100% right now.

I feel as though my husband is terribly insensitive and doesn't understand any of the words coming out of my mouth. The ironic thing is that he feels the same way about me. We can't communicate without arguing and never see the other person's side. We are going to begin counseling soon (it takes a while to get an appointment), however what can we do in the mean time to help?

I met the absolute love of my life 22 years ago. We dated for two years, came close to marriage, but my immaturity at the time led to us splitting up. She married too quickly on the rebound within 5 months. We kept occasional contact with each other for the next 20 years. We are both married, each with two kids ages 14, 12, 9 and 9. My marriage isnt "miserable" but not all life should be. Hers is a little better, but neither of us are "in love" with our spouses. We still are deeply, madly in love with each other, and if not for the obvious circumstances surrounding our lives right now, we would not hesitate to reunite. This person and I share that special love...the fairy tale love. I have ached for her for 20 years, and she has for me also. We have made our current marriages "work" and like I said, it isn't "bad", just not what life should be or could be. This woman and I connect on a level that is simply amazing. We have always known we were the love of each others lives.

I am almost 27 and I left my husband 8 months ago because he is a alcoholic and it was starting to affect my daughters lives.I don't have anything to my name.I am living back with my parents and I am just trying to figure out where my life is going.I work at a grocery store right now and everyone that works there is young and everyone is going to college.I am so down cause I don't even have my Ged.I feel like I am too dumb to go back to school because I don't remember anything.I don't know whats wrong with me becuause I know that I don't want to be a cashier for the rest of my life.How to I get out of this state of mind and do something with my life.I have a 10 year old daughter and a 3 year old.Has anyone been in this situation?Thanks, and please no rude comments.

but i feel sad sometimes like i'm missing something. i get jealous when other people go out to party's. we're only 24 and we don't get to do that that much because of our wonderful son. but i envy everyone. most of the time i don't care i like being home with my family instead but when i look at pics o myspace i envy those people that get to do it :( is that normal.

Recently, my fiance called off our engagement because she joined AA, (alcoholics anonymous), and thought it wasn't going to work out because I still occasionally drank. I explained to her that I was going to quit completely and that I would not harbor any resentment towards her because she's the most important person to me and I would do anything for her. She didn't believe me. Her sponsor told her our relationship wouldn't work and it's not fair because that sponsor has never met me or know anything about me. The breakup was done over the phone and I don't feel like I have true closure. It's been a week and she hadn't made arrangements with me to give back the ring. So, not to sound stupid but is there still some sort of chance to work things out? Is this her way of really just needing space to get through this time? And am I foolish to take her back based on how things happened if she does want to work it out? I would take her in a heart beat. Thank you all for any insight on this.

hello, my hubby lost hos job 3 weeks ago. he has not even bother to look for one. every time i call he sounds as if he was sleeping. the only looking he has done is called newspaper jobs. he is really looking hard huh? for example i called today, he sounds as if i woke him, says he is busy calling for jobs. then asks me why i am calling, so i tell him i caleld to make sure his *** is awake to pick me up at lunch. so he hangs up on me. jerk. oh did i mention he is using my car. if he is not using it to look for a job, shouldnt i just take it with me? to me he is lazy. what do you think?

My husband I have been married for a little over a year. He has always been a spiritual man. But since we got married and moved into our house it has become quite extreme. He believes that god is speaking to him and he writes everything down. He will sit for hours after hours and write on note cards. He fills the entire front & back with his "teachings". He seems very obsessed. He also has these "habits" like cutting his hair. He has this elaborate process that takes him 4 hours to shave his body and cut his hair. I have to leave the house when he does this. He also is very metro and is boarderline gay. We went to a gay dance club on our anniversary and he ended up taking off his shirt and dancing around the main floor while I was on the stage dancing. I also overheard him ask someone when he knew he was gay. On top of that we have sex MAYBE once every 2 weeks. I mean c'mon I'm supposed to be his hot young wife! When we do have sex he wants me to iniciate it and take control of him!???

I was schocked b/c it was the first time it happened. My son had an attitude about something and raised his hand at his father and then hit him in the stomach. Ofcourse my son is only 7 and should still know better but my husband smacked him on the back of his head. I'm sure it hurt my son who dramatically threw himself on the floor afterwards. My son was hurt emotionally too that his dad would do that. I told my son to never raise his hand at his parents and he had to respect his dad (could you believe I said that!! I was ready to kill my husband for doing that but I still wanted to teach my boy not to disrespect him). I told him to NEVER touch his neck area or face!! He was very sullen and told me (that night) that he felt horrible and that it ruined his whole day (he slept the whole day). What would you guys do b/c I'm in hysterics thinking about this situation. It was like a firm smack (not a full force....) on the back of his neck..and it made me maaaaad! thanks

why is it that when my husband is gone , on fat bissness trips dose he not call or care to talk to me. iam a good wife, i let him do what he wants, all i am asking for is a few calls a day when hes gone...i just feel like its out of sight out of mind. why do men do this...very upset that he cant grow up!

I try so hard to make my marriage work, read my other posts thats proof. The thing is when my husband and I are happy we are happy. that is until he doesn't get his way. I work full time and attend school full time. He works one full-time job thats is "Come-in as you please" based. Saturdays I get b*tched at for sleeping in. Sometimes during the week he will go through a half-as* cleaning frenzy and kind of push around the dirt. I come home at 10 be with my daughter, CLEAN my house, do laundry and occasionally cook dinner. Everything we do is on his terms. Even when we fight. Its always his fault and he will come apologizing telling me he is so stupid and sorry. But besides the fact that he keeps apologizing its reoccuring, ALL THE TIME, he says mean things when we fight and I get worked up. he's told me he pushes my buttons on purpose. (Wait for additonal details please)

i am meeting my wife tonight to talk about the marriage. we have been separated for 10 weeks with no progress, no moving forward, at times we both want to , and at times we are hesitant to try. i have been willing to try, she seems she wants me to put in all the effort without her giving any...asking me for more, but then not allowing me to give her more, just as in the marriage. we separated originally because i asked her to leave, she told me for months i was not in her heart, she couldnt be intimate with me and i tried for three months to work things out...she declined and wouldnt budge, telling me she hated her life and was unhappy ...therefore i told her to leave....any suggestions???

Heres how it happened. I met my wife-who has 2 kids from previous abusive-type relationships. Everything was great. We moved in together-got married. Slowly but surely her real personality came out. I got called ugly, disgusting, she no longer initiated sex. Even our wedding night-she sat with a calculator counting the money. How romantic. I'm 25, shes 26.
She used to apologize, now, she could care less. She is always depressed and never wants sex. If we have sex-I have to promise her a backrub or something-and its obvoious she's not into it. The verbal abuse gets physical sometimes. I am fed up-my patients for ''the girl who got a raw deal by assholes''is gone, and I see her true colors. I've pulled away from the kids and her. We pretty much sleep seperate. Its still our first year of marriage. I have tried everything. Counseling, patients, romance, housework, more time with the kids. Nothing helps. Also-she was spoiled by her Mom her whole life, still is.

I am married ... a few months ago I was at a family party. My moms boss kissed me and I kissed him back.... My hubby does not know. Since the kids are going back to school I needed a job and hubby suggested that I work where mom worked because they would give me the best hours and money. I couldn't say no cause i'd have to tell him what happened. I am happily married mind you. It was just a kiss and not a long one at that.
I start this job on tuesday and I don't know what to do. I am attracted to the boss but I am married. How do I not recreate the kiss? I did not come on to him, i swear!
There were a bunch of us playing a game, no just me and him till we seemed to leave at the same time. Hubby had already took the kids home. He came up to my truck and leaned in and kissed me. I kissed back and left. HELP

i found 7 texts on my husbands phone, in his sentbox, they were basically rude texts to another woman, saying what he cant wait to do her, etc etc. he says he hasnt slept with her, he was going to but he backed out at the last minute (more like she did), anyway the question im asking is? do i believe him and or forgive him?
