hello, my hubby lost hos job 3 weeks ago. he has not even bother to look for one. every time i call he sounds as if he was sleeping. the only looking he has done is called newspaper jobs. he is really looking hard huh? for example i called today, he sounds as if i woke him, says he is busy calling for jobs. then asks me why i am calling, so i tell him i caleld to make sure his *** is awake to pick me up at lunch. so he hangs up on me. jerk. oh did i mention he is using my car. if he is not using it to look for a job, shouldnt i just take it with me? to me he is lazy. what do you think?

I think losing his job has hit him really hard. And I think you are trying to act more like his boss instead of his wife. He's your husband... so be more supportive and less bitchy.

I think he's depressed, or at least down, about losing his job and his wife does nothing but call him all the time and tell him he's lazy.
How do you know he hasn't looked for a job? Just because it isn't on YOUR timetable, doesn't mean he's not looking. Depending on the field he's looking in and the opportunities in your area, it may take some time to find a new position.
You said: "so i tell him i caleld to make sure his *** is awake to pick me up at lunch." -- real nice of you. Have you ever lost your job? Instead of nagging and being nasty, try being more supportive and helpful.

Why did he lose his job? He may be depressed - people sleep a lot when they are depressed.
This may be hard to understand - but by calling him throughout the day to "check up on him" you are sending a message to him that you don't believe in him. This makes him angry so he is responding by doing even more of what you don't want him to do. I would suggest that you ask him if there is anything you can do to help him in his job search and then respect his answer. If he says to let him handle it, then let him and quit calling him and just trust he will do what he says. What you are doing now isn't working, so give this a try.
Also - is he getting unemployment? If so, he may want to have some time off and be a bum - if that is the case - what is it that makes you take issue with that? Jealousy? Search deep within yourself to figure out what it is that is driving your actions and let him worry about his, okay?
Things will turn out fine.

He needs to go further than looking in the newspaper. If this is all he is doing, why should you be a foot. All your car is doing is sitting in the driveway for him to take if he decides to go get something to eat because he woke up and was hungry. He does need to try harder. Take the car with you. GOOD LUCK!!

I think that you need to have the car unless he has specific destinations to go to.
On the other hand, being a nasty disrespectul nag is not going to motivate him to do anything except walk out the door.
Mutual respect, working TOGETHER, is how to hang tough in these situations. Not mudslinging and spite.

Probably depressed about losing his job. Maybe try a little compassion and give him the motivation to find another one.

I think he is depressed, most men have the mind set to be a provider, and when we fail it is a big blow to the ego. Think about it like that before you give him too much crap.
