Ok this is a very strange situation...bare with me. My Stepfather all of a sudden filed for divorce about a month ago from my Mom... everything was fine even the day prior to him kicking her out. She moves out.... then last week he's diganosed with brain, lung and hip cancer. He dies Saturday... The divorce is not final. She didn't want the divorce in the first place. Now what happens? His children aren't allowing my family to the funeral, his daughter had him taken off life support without even telling my mom he was in the hospital. My mother is convinced that having a huge brain tumor impaired his judgement..and he wouldnt have wanted to seperate if he wasnt sick. Now what happens with their divorce? She hasn't even signed any papers... so are the still married? What rights does she have?

she thinks I had an affair with her husband. I have known him for 7 years, and he bought me flowers for my b-day. We have the same b-day. I bought him a bottle of wine. My husband knew of all this also. Just a friendship bouquet. All done innocently. Now his wife found a receipt for the flowers and thinks I am having an affair.
She just wont stop digging into my personal life..ie..phones, email,my space.com, I notified the police in several cities.
They are tired of me calling and asking for help.
My husband even tried to stop all this nonsense.
We have never even talked to this woman at all.
Any suggestions? Thankfully, my marriage is strong enough to put up with all this b.s.

I filed for divorce to end relationship with abusive husband. I moved out with my daughter. Since I had not taken a restraining order husband came and took my daughter with him promising to bring back after the weekend. Now when I tried to bring her back my husband says she does not want to come. Daughter also says she does not want to come back. Husband has brainwashed her. He has told you should not move as this is your home, if you keep moving there, coming back here, you will not have stability. Husband called his mom to stay with him to care for our daughter. How can I get her back now? Can I file for a restraining order now as I am afraid to visit my daughter at his place. He will start fighting in front of her. My daughter also has an impression that mom will be there for her whenever she needs, no matter how much she and her dad insult her. What can i do in this situation?

I have a hard time in relationships, I have trust issues. The way I see life is that I don't go around trusting everyone, and I always know that somehow/someway I am going to be let down, and that way I dont get disappointed by telling myself this from the beginning. I dont believe that marriage is for me because I like my freedom, I can be an introvert at times and just want my own down time and be alone and in a marriage the partner can be upset if u keep distance. I dont believe that happiness=marriage, and I do believe that some people get married bc thats how they were taught at a young age. I do love children and would love to have a couple of my own. The only problem is, is it healthy to have children if your not married or dont plan on to be (but in a committed relationship)? Would it have any future effects on the children?

How did you get engaged? Was it a diffrent and wild proposal or was it the same old same old. Any ideas for a proposal that will amaze her?

My fiance and I have been together for 4 years. I love him, and we have had some really good times, as well as some really rough times. Right before he proposed to me, I was considering breaking up with him because I felt like our relationship was not moving forward, we were fighting a lot, and I was developing feelings for another guy. The proposal caught me completely off guard, and I said "yes" because it is what I had wanted for so long.

Since then I have not been entirely sure I want to marry him for various reasons, including the fact that my parents don't want me to! But I feel like my main problem is the feelings I still have for the other guy. I don't think the other guy would ever commit to me so is it worth breaking off an engagement to a great guy for someone I would probably never really have? I don't know what to do, but we are supposed to get married in 2 months!

I listened to a talk show this morning about people who stayed married but no longer loved their spouses for various reason. Most of these people had affairs of one sort of the other but the ones that intrigued me the most were the ones that said they had emotional affairs but not physical ones with someone other than their spouses. Do you think an emotional affair is considered cheating????

Married 12.5 years. She had 1 dog when we met. Discovered after marriage she was a "collector" of unwanted items. She has amassed 5 dogs, 1 monkey, and now a cat. She has filled the basement, attic, storage area above the garage, every closet, 2 of the 4 bedrooms and now its starting in the garage.
She claims I am bipolar due to my moods, go figure when Im home I'm moody. I work on the road, it sucks to come home to dog waste, damage, and a monkey that screams, bites, and stinks. Now add a litter box to the mix. She filed, stating that I need to be medicated for mental problems. Is this my problem??

My boyfriend and I were having alot of fights and barely speaking to eachother for months. I took a vacation on my own this summer and coincedently met up with my ex-husband. To make a long story short we had a nice time and ended up in bed together.
When I returned home I was determined to end our relationship because of this, but we talked and decided to work on our relationship and now everything is going great. Except I feel REALLy teribble about what happened. I cry myself to sleep when I think of what I did to him/us. I want to confess but I know it's going to crush him. He has been so happy since things started working out . It just hurts to think about how he will feel/act. I know I wasnt thinking of his feelings then I was really mad at him at it was kind of nice and familiar to be with my ex (which has now ended ofcourse) But now I dont know what to do!!!

I want to get him a heated back massager for the car, but I'm concerned it might make him too relaxed and sleepy for his drive to and from. He drives only an hour both ways. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

My boyfriend swares up and down that we are going to get married. We shopped for rings, made a decision on where, when and the honeymoon. But when we talk about when this wil happen, he just says someday. This is frustrating cuz I don't understand why we'd do all these things and then he's not even certain on when. I'm fine with waiting to get married, but I want to be engaged and i've told him this. He just says it's not the right time yet. Help me understand and how can i be more patient?

I have basically had enough of the way my husband is treating me and my children (mine from previous marriage) He is mentally abusive, moody, controlling and my youngest seems to bear the brunt of his moods and I think he is mentally abusing him by the way he treats him so differently from the others. I cant pack up and leave for financial reasons plus I work as a childminder from home so I need a place to continue working. The house/mortgage is in his name but we pay the mortgage half each same with bills. Where do I stand? any legal bods out there??

My husband has cheated on me in the past. In my heart I believe he really has changed now (I know people say that all the time) but I still have trouble convincing my head of that and trusting him. I even have dreams about him cheating on me and the littlest thing can set it off (such as just seeing a commercial that makes me think of it, or anything else little). For people that have been cheated on more than once, how do you move on and really forgive and try to forget?
