Dont get me wrong, I knew when I as getting married that men and women are very different. But I didnt know we were SO DIFFERENT! We like different movies, different music. He is very much into sports - I am absolutely not. He is very active -I am more mellow. He is very talkative - I am more quiet. The list can go on and go on. I was ready for compromising and understanding when I was getting married. The point of my quiestion is - how much different is too different? We've been married for 6 months only and I am already tired of constant compromising and giving in. Or maybe we just need to give each other more time - to get used to being together and to work out the perfect relationship? How was it in your experience of the first years of marriage?

my ex used to want me to help clean the house, so i vacumed, mopped, did the dishes, ect ( i did my part)

so instead of her being thankful of my help, she complained that i didnt do it like she wanted me to or like she would of done it.

ladies this is why most men dont want to help around the house its not that we are lazy we just dont want to help and then be drilled because you dont approve of our work!!!

this is not boot camp!!!

I am a divorced mom, I have been with my boyfriend for a little over two years. I am ready to get remarried to him, but he is stalling on asking me.
He has told me countless times that he wants to marry me, and we live our lives and plan for the future as if we are married.
I love him very much, and want to be with him as his wife.
How long is too long to wait for him to ask me?
I think the old saying that "why buy the cow when the milk is free" saying might be true.

What do you think?

I am married and I know lady who is divorced. I have 4 kids and she has 3. We are having a sexual relation for the last 6 months. Today, while we were in the train, she had some ininnocent look with a guy. I didn't like that. I told her later that I didn't like that. I was polite and didn't try to hurt her when telling her that. I told her if she is going to do that, she'd better do it when am not with her. She told me that I don't have the right to say that and I shouldn't express such feelings casue we are not married or engaged or committed.
Do you think that I don't have the right to say how I feel? I know that it is an awkward situation that am married. However, this is the situation.

my kids are a girl(6) and a boy(4). wife is cheating or atleast in love with some one i know, she doesn't know that i know, all she tells me is that she doesn't love me and doesn't care about trying to make it work. I have old telephone bills that show how many calls, how long, and how many text messages have been sent to this person. i saw a text calling her "mami" and "i love you". those are the clues i have and i'm desperate because i gave her everything. she didn't even finish high school and now with my help and support she was going to finish and get a career.
I live in a 3 unit home, my parents live in one and i live in the other. my kids love their grand parents and i know my kids are better if they live with me and have their grand parents close by. if she leaves with them, they'll live and deal with strange people. and i don't want them to see their mom with other men. they are just too young. what do i do?

I try my hardest to do what he wants me to do and be who he says he wants. He has had dozens of women in his life and I have only been with four men in 13 years, so he has MUCH more experience than I do. We have different values and different views on everything, especially raising children and religion. He is constantly looking for ways to cut me down and blame me for the household issues. He often ignores our daughter and calls her a mistake. He says he will be a better father when she is two and three and older instead of a baby like she is now. One of his ex wives says he treated their kids the same way, that's just who he is. He always tells me he wants this or wants that but when I try to do what he wants he finds someway to make me feel like its wrong. He used to say he wanted to marry me but now all he says is that I make him crazy. We only make love once or twice a month now instead of the two or three times weekly that it used to be. I love him but I don't know what to do.

I've asked about pointless fights and the like, and it appears men are supposed to listen better. With my ex-wife, I did listen very well; I'm a great listener in general. What I had a problem with was hypocritical accusations, like "The way you ask to go out with your friends is uncaring," or "I thought we were going to have a day off together." She was much more uncaring than me when she would tell me that she's going out with her friends or when she was called into work. There were numerous scenarios like this, and I couldn't help but speak up and tell her she's being a hypocrite. I see this as a very common thread between men and women, and I don't see how listening better to hypocritical and/or pointless accusations is helpful. Is it just that I was with a particularly hypocritical woman or what?

I am 37 hubby is 39 so time getting on as we started late but known each other a long time. I have always wanted 4 kids he would have been happy with one.

He says he cant handle the ones we have never mind any more and get stressed easy. He is in the Army and away quite a lot. I am a childminder and dont find it that hard. I want all my kids to have the same dad and really love my husband but I really want another baby.

Do I get pregnant and have a big mistake (which Id rather not do) or have the 3 he is happy with and always feel I missed out on it?

I really want the four but want to be honest. He has a 20 grand custom harley and a new car so does not go without his wants.

please help me if you have been in a simliar situation

Can I just say I have PCOS and know we are very lucky to have them especially as so many cant have kids so I know they are special every day!

much appreciated

My husband left 6 months ago. We have two young children. We did fight often over finances and his lack of wanting to work a full time job. One night I asked him about a girl and he got mad and left. He kept threatening divorce so I finally went ahead and filed to give him what he wants. Oh and by the way he was cheating on me with that girl. Two months later he confessed and she had dumped him for her ex. I love my husband and I understand people make mistakes. Our divorce is almost final just waiting on the papers. As soon as he left he went and got a full time job and still has his part time as well. Why couldn't he do that when we were married? It seems like all he wants to do now is hang out with his friends. He doesn't even seem to care too much about the kids. He just takes them because it is court ordered and his friends love my kids especially some new girl or lady. What do I do to get over him or get him back?

What are some remedies other than divorce for being married too young?

This way you can fix the "mistake" without losing everything that you have built on a shaky foundation.

I love cruises. Cruises to anywhere and I'd have my husband with me. Can't imagine going without him.

Just curious. If you could be ANYWHERE, where would you be and would you take your spouse?

My ex and I broke up about a month ago, we were together for about 17 months. But now it's like we didnt even break up, we still go out. He still takes me to family events and such. So at this point I don't know where we stand. And I don't know if I should just stop seeing him.

Sure, I had an affair, but it's because my spouse ___" (fill in the blank with any old BS) or I love my wife but she just won't love me back.. I've tried everything.. Every now and then, I'd like to see some honesty: "Yeah, I screwed up all right, I slept around on my husband/wife and I deserve whatever I get for it."

Last week my husband was talking to his g-pa on the phone and I heard him say "SURE! Grandpa, stay as long as you like!" He hangs up the phone and I just stare at him and am like "What was that all about?" He says "Oh, grandpa is staying with us 3 days a week for the next few weeks, he got a part time job in this area and lives about 3 hrs away with my mom so we agreed it'd be easiest to have him stay with us, honey" I just tell him that he could have asked me first, to see if it was ok since we are having severe marriage problems as it is and need to work them out by ourselves. We've been married only a year and a half, 22/23 yrs old. ANYWAY....so he says he is sorry and tells me that he will call g-pa and tell him that I said no..I tell him not to be retarded, that it will make me look bad if he did. He freaks out and says he doesn't understand why I am being so mean, and that it is not a big deal, that he will just ask me first next time. I can't stand this g-pa either. I am so mad..

This is in the new cingular wireless commercial and the daughter is in Vegas with a questionable character.

The call is dropped while the mother is trying to explain not to maker her "mistake".

So she looks over her shoulder and gets bent out of shape and tries to explain over the phone but nobody hears her.

What exactly is she talking about when she is referring to the "mistake"?
