I don't know if they ever wrote back or not. I don't believe that they had Paul's address since he traveled or was imprisoned most of the time.

Ephesians 5:22-28 (The Message)
The Message (MSG)

22-24Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ. The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing. So just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership, wives should likewise submit to their husbands.

25-28Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ's love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They're really doing themselves a favor—since they're already "one" in marriage.

Paul was instructing the Ephesians how to live harmoniously in Christ. Our marriages today would be a lot stronger if we would allow the Word of God to develop in our hearts the love Jesus has for the church. Husbands are to give their lives for their wives. They should nurture them and place the highest value anyone can place on a physical blessing. They should be willing to sacrifice their lives to see that the wife has no needs (needs are different from wants)

It is all about the sacrifice and compromise of marriage. Christ loved His bride (the church) so much that He died for her. It's more than being willing to give your own life for another. It's about forsaking your own fleshly desires for the sake of your spouse of your marriage. Each partner must honor and submit to one another. The man is the head of the house, as the provider and spiritual leader. The woman is the nurturer and caretaker, and brings honor to her husband. The husband should honor his wife by providing for her, and esteeming her above all others, including himself.

Many men take this out of context and use it as an excuse to beat (emotionally/physically) their wives. This is not biblical, and will bear horrible consequences when these men face God on the Day of Judgement.

Marriage should be a sacrificial relationship between both partners. In the same way, our relationship with Christ needs to be sacrificial. Jesus gave the ultimate sacrifice for us, his life. It should be (I say should, because it's always easier said than done) no less a sacrifice for us to give our lives to him; whether that be in the form of time, money, etc, etc.

I know that is an oversimplified explanation, but it covers the basics.

Hey! Did the Ephesians ever write back to Paul?

Basically it comes down to put you spouse first in your life as Christ has put his love for the church. You give up things for your spouse, you comprimise, you talk, and DO NOT LIE to you spouse, always be able to tell them the truth.

husbands are to love and care for thier wives sacrificially, even to the point of dying for thier wives ("just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her"). on the flip side, the wife simply responds to her husband by placing herself under his caring leadership ("wives submit to your husband as unto the Lord").

Paul had no idea of how society would develop, so trying to foretell how relationships would be in a non-agrarian society 2,000 years in the future is fruitless.
