I don't think a list is a good idea. There was a woman on The Matchmaker show that had a two-page list of what she wanted in a man and the show host had her burn it up because it was not helping her. When you meet the right guy (or the wrong guy) you will formulate your idea of what you want and dont' want. When you meet the right guy you will probably know it right away.

Well, you have to be true to yourself. What will make you happy?? Decide what the most important things you are looking for in a mate are...write them down...then write down the not so important things...because let's face it no one is perfect. I recommend "Hard Questions: 100 Essential Questions to Ask Yourself Before You Say I Do" I think there is plenty of stuff in there about deciding if your mate is the right one. Now I realize you might not have someone specific in mined right now but this book might help you realize what your looking for.

It took a bad marriage for me to figure it out. Basically I realized I needed someone that was a good friend, a good roommate, and that I was attracted to.
We have different views on religion, politics, parenting, etc. All that stuff doesn't matter for us though, we have a good relationship.

If you have to write a list of what you are looking for, then you are expecting too much. You will learn this with age.
