My wife has returned from work (she is a cleaner) and I have spent the day at home (working on my pc).

She is now in front of me (yes, right now) cleaning the floor on her hands and knees in her night clothes.

Part of me is happy that the training has paid of, whilst another part thinks she should get me another beer.

How do I approach this without wearing the beer?

Also, she hasn't finished yet and has missed a few bits.

It's quite a dilema

We recently got back together after being separated for 8 mths. We were dealing with a devastating miscarriage (to me it was devastating) and I found porn that he swore on his mother (he is a true momma's boy!) was not his. For 4 years he always swore it was not his, that he had no idea how it got there and I always yelled and cried "to get the truth". I was very calm this last time and he finally admitted the truth. I left minutes later that led to an 8 mth seperation.
We have gone to counceling 3 times in the last 7 mths we've been back together. As a condition to get back together He promised to go to counceling, but he gives the crappiest reasons why he has not made the appt. I cant "get over it". I feel I need to know if he is giving false reassurance, again. And has a much more serious problem. What do I Do to find out???

After your break up, did you blame the other person for everything or did you look at yourself and tried focusing on what you've done wrong that played a part in the break up? Even though you felt that the other person was the primary reason for the break up. Did you make a promise to yourself that all you've done in the previous relationship that was not helpful would not be repeated in the new relationship? There's not a single relationship where one person is perfect. The break up may have been 80% that persons fault and 20% yours. Do you feel that you have to improve yourself so that in the next relationship, your 20% will be gone. Where does pointing fingers get you? Nowhere.

My husband only has limited vacation and his parents want to travel with us to a spot that I've already been to and don't want to return. This trip will be expensive and my in-laws will require hand holding in this country as they don't speak the language and will be dependant us. I really don't want to go. Am I being selfish by feeling imposed on? I've already suggested that we go somewhere else where I haven't been to and they knows that my husband has limited vacation time. My husband and his parents insist on this vacation together. My husband works long hours and we rarely get to see each other so I would a) prefer to travel alone or b) at least go somewhere new where I am interested.

We have been dating for 9 months and have been engaged for 3 months. I have fairly extensive assests in a home and retirement plans, and she has very few assets with no retirement funds. She has been divorced twice and I am a widower. I love her very much, but I am concerned about protecting what I have worked my life for if things don't work out in the future. I have an 18-year-old son by my late wife, and she has 15- and 17-year-old sons from her first marriage. Any advice on how to approach this subject without totally freaking her out?

When I search name change on the web, all I get are sites that want to sell me packages of legal forms for name change. I want to know what office/govt dept takes care of this and if I can apply for the change in person.

i'm getting married in 6 weeks. my whole life i've always looked at my boyfriend as though there will never be a permanent fix in my life. i think i must have that ingrained in my head pretty deep cuz with my fiance, i sometimes forget that this is for good. he's the one i;m going to grow old with and it's scary sometimes.
sometimes when we fight, i find myself thinking "that's ok. it's not like he'll be around forever." and i'll catch myself thinking that and it shocks me why i think that still towards a man i'm about to marry.
what's wrong w/ me? am i thinking like this is 'cuz i've had this way of thinking for over 15 years of my dating life? or am i thinking this way is cuz he's not the one for me? but i know i love him more than life itself?
i'm confused???

please, serious answers only

My wife and I were having a debate. She said when she goes out with her friends it is ok for her to accept drinks from another man. However she feels it is not approriate for me to buy other women drinks when I go out with my friends. I think the two scenarios are similar enough that if one is not appropriate, neither is the other.

Our marriage of 6 years has been rocky off and on, but the last couple years the best yet. My husbands makes an excellent living while I gave up my career to care for our baby who is now 2. Six weeks ago he insisted I go back to work so we can better prepare for the future and so the baby can go to daycare and be around other kids. This has caused a major rift. He spends money excessively and I resent I have to go back. I wanted to return to my career in 2-3 years when the baby starts school. We agreed on these family values before we even got married. Now that the rug has been pulled out from under me I'm at a loss...devastated that I return to work in August and will have limited time with my daughter. We fight constantly and have discussed divorce many times. Counseling doesn't seem to be helping. His family values have changed and he admits it. He tells me things change and I need to just deal with it. I'm emotional about leaving the baby and have lost trust in him.

We have been married for the past 10 years and have a son of 8 years. She reacts strongly even to my minor kiddings. She keeps mum for days together. My pleading to her as to what bothers her elicits no reply. I couldn't recollect any incidence in which I have done anything to hurt her feelings. She looks to be medically OK. I even told her not to worry about any past happenings as I love her from deep of my heart but somehow feels helpless to turn her around. There are no financial issues involved and we are reasonably placed. Due to this there is an air of tightness at our home. I am at fix as how to get back the warmth of our earlier days. Any suggestion?

Let’s say you’re divorced,37,2kids and you were with the same guy for 20 years. Afterwards would you be going out, whooping it up at bars and nightclubs, loving the attention and trying to relive your 20’s? The girl I’m seeing seems to be into that because her ex beat her down so much. I understand she needs her ego stroked right now but I don’t think I want any part of it. I think it’s really immature at that age. I’m looking for someone to settle down with and she seems to be one of the nice ones. Then I hear she’s out partying, she’s calling me at 130 in the morning telling me how drunk she is and how many guys hit on her, and so on. Seems a little immature. Seems like she’s trying to boast up her self esteem at my expense. Should I drop this divorcee?

My bf had an old friend who contacted him after 3 years and invited him to her wedding. We went to the wedding and even though she was getting married that day I just felt a little insecure seeing how my boyfriend and she was together. It just felt like they had a moment and I just felt like they had something.

I asked him if they had ever had feelings for each other or hooked up and he kept on denying it. Finally he said she did have a bf and i had a gf nothing happened and we kissed once and that is it. Should I believe him?

This friend is a girl that he used to work with years ago. She lives about 4 hours away, so I'm not worried about him visiting her. The e-mail had a couple of sexual innuendos. Apparently this has been going on for a couple months. He never mentioned that he was in contact with her. Should I be concerned? Should I confront him about it? He would be mad knowing that I saw his private email.
