It's all in your perspective. Don't be all gloomy about it. Congrats...you just got divorced, you've been given another chance! Don't be a bitter one, because chances are some worthwhile woman is going to come your way, see you're all bitter and head for the hills. Whether she cheated on you, lied to you, whatever, that doesn't mean all women are like that. You just made a bad choice, work on making a better choice next time. Be thankful you're not stuck being married to her. Day by day it gets easier. Throw yourself a little "divorce party" and go out with the guys. Remember, you cannot judge all women by the stupid woman you were married to. You're wise now, you know the deal. Be honest and upfront with women and you'll get the same back. Good luck. I've been divorced myself and now I'm remarried. I found a great guy this time. My first one lied about his name, his family, his life, his past wives...so, if I can trust after all those lies, you should be able to get over what your EX did to you. :)

Well I don't know what your ex did to you, but I can hear from what you have said before, that you are holding on to lots of anger. I don't think this is a bad thing, but let it out & don't hold on to it or it will grind you down & pollute every relationship you have. You may have every reason to be angry with your ex, so let it out in a healthy way or it will grow inside you like cancer.
I was holding on to a lot of anger for someone years ago (my father.) I made a 'man' (like a big rag doll with an angry face & put a shirt & trousers on him.) Me & a friend took him to the woods & beat the life out of him. It was incredible the amount of anger that came out of me, I really shocked myself. It was so powerful & the lightness I felt afterwards was so cleansing.
Are you angry because of something your ex did, or didnt do, or the way she treated you? Or did she remind you of a parent or someone else from the past who really hurt you? (Every man I had a relationship with reminded me of my father up to about 5 years ago when I did the anger thing in the woods.)
I also feel its important to recognise that every person who comes into our lives, is here to teach us something. What did you learn from your ex? What did she teach you, show you, share with you? Which feelings did she put you in touch with?
If you look back on any relationship, its never without some gain. Even if you had to learn some painful, harsh lessons, that's still something positive.
In time you'll trust women again, but for now just focus on yourself & your kids.
Warm wishes to you.

Believe me, after everything my husband put me through, and is still putting me through, I never thought I would trust a man again. Especially after being cheated on and swindled out of a lot of money.
Over time, the hurt goes away... or at least it lessens.
When you begin to date someone new you have to remind yourself that they are not your ex, and they don't deserve to pay for your ex's crimes. Even if the new person does something that reminds you of your ex, you just have to keep telling yourself that this is a completely different person. Everyone deserves a fair shot.
I wish you the best for the healing of your heart. It will happen. You just have to give it time.

Time will help. That and the understanding that your ex was doing the best she could under the circumstances with her background and upbringing--as I'm sure you did. It's a process. Think about how you got involved with such a person. There were signs that were ignored (at least there were for me).

I am sorry that you are hurting. It is a way of life for me these days.
I hope you don't become cynical and jaded, like me. Maybe for you there will be another person to love and trust. I hope there is.

Go day by day. Once you move in to the dating scene, don't' let yourself wide open. Slowing remove the shield. You will know when the right person has come along to remove the shield for. But don't mask yourself sooo much that even you don't know who you are. Let them see the true you, don't be fake. No girl will be interested to a fake person.

You cannot blame others for what one person did to you. Blame the appropriate source. As the Osmonds say, "One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch".

Just understand that women, like people, aren't all alike. You have some good and some bad.
