Marriage & Divorce - 17 June 2007

my wife and i separated. haven't talked to her. lawyers involved and things are getting ugle. real ugly. i know she loves me but she has emotional problems. one day she told me she loved me so much and the next she's going to an attorney. we've had no closure just spit, attorneys, and garbage. i tried to be civil but she started bad mouthing me as soon as she left. there's no need for that. just move on. we've had no closure and i know she's angry and also know that she loved me more than anyone she was with but she's very angry over something she did and seems like she's taking it out on me through the divorce. like i said there hasn't been any closure just i love you to death and angry hurtful attorneys and divorce. seems to me when all this settles down both of us are going to be like, what the heck just happened. i still love them. what do you think?

Ok so I need some advice my husband is on the interent maybe on the interent 4-6 times a day sometimes less, but hes not like on it all the time. He talks to various people, some women, some men and just says they are his friends. The internet doesnt seem to interfering with our relationship or any of his everyday duties. He talks about some of these people every now and then but it seems like he and internet life and a real like and in his real life im his wife. He works so much that he really doesn't have much time to be on the computer or do much of anything. Nonone calls for him or anything like that. I saw a message where he was telling one of his guy friends that this girl he met on there is awesome but thats all he said about her. Is it possible to have an internet life and a real life? And could this be whats happening, since his internet seems to be completely separate from his his internet life? Is it possible to have a flirty personality and think that your just being nice?

I would not earn his son's respect if I did not go to all his baseball games and such. I know I needed to do it, but I was not raised this way and I wanted more time to adjust. He was very demanding towards me and would always fight with me because of his son........I came back to my country to distance myself from the situation and think all over it. I told him I am willing to go back but he still wants me to think the way he and his family does, not giving me room to be myself. His daughter told me a lot of bad things about him because she was jealous of me being there and it seems he does not see that. How to convince him that I am willing to do but that love is free and it takes time to adjust and it takes TWO TO TANGO? We are not young anymore, and despite the differences I am willing to make it work, but he has to want that to. He makes things hard for both of us...and he told me if I don't share the same interests they can do very little for me. Is this American culture?
Help!

well this is my daughters screen name so dont be fooled . but ya know i have four boys 25 22 21 and 18 and a daughter who is not bilogically mine. my daughter called me like 12 00 0clock none of the boys called me yet and they will well at least two of them. but i never get anything as in likke there mother they took her out to eat
they all work ;although one is in sc headed for iraq. one works for nj transit the 18 yr old probably does not make too much money and my oldest hes strugglin so this i understand . but what i dont get is they will find the time and make the sacrafice to give ther mother something but i never ever get a thing maybe a phone call from 2 or 3 of them and thats fine but i wonder why?
i always give them somthing for there birthday and christmas and i never get a thing its more hurtful then it is being expectant of a gift that i dont get a thing ever

does your partner hang up the phone when you argue ? if so which one of you is it man or woman how mad does it make you?
my reason for asking is that hubbie and i have been rowing all day he keeps hanging up on me and he is making me very very mad you see he is at muse concert and im at home he wont be home till about 1 am and dont have his keys should i lock him and his mate out and go to bed early ???????

My mother-in-law and I have always gotten along ecceptionaly well. We would hang out together all the time. Until today, out of the blue she calls my husband and tells him she thinks I am seeing someone else!!! and that i want to divorce him!!! I couldn't belive it. I was just at her house last night! She is has "F"in gone crazy, I love my husband and would not cheat on him. What am i going to do, he is listening to her!!!

She has been traveling out of town for weekend trips alone even without kids(to her families out of state) There always seems to be reasons for this and usually at the last minute. He has been saying stuff to my husband and I, my husband more. There are suspicions from what he says and he says it like he knows what these could be signs of. For example she came home or was leaving with new lingerie and she told him she was going to surprise him w/ it or something but it was in her travel bag. Now she has lost a lot of weight and as a woman and her friend I can tell she REALLY likes herself right now.

My hubby and 2 of his other friends tried to just say Yes she is and than he asked me if I though so and I didn't say either way and said what does your heart say and he said "No" and I said O.K. but than after I overheard him with the guys still talking like he really thinks she his. I think he is in denial. I guess she's going again for the weekend in 2 weeks.

Im married to a busy hub for 2 yrs... we dont spend much time together since he's always on biz trips. Now, i met a guy (he's married too) from the chatroom and we started chatting since.. we spent long hours talking about almost anything until finally, both of us felt the same way to each other--we fell in love with each other. But we know we cant do anything about it as we also value our respective vows. We tried to just be friends but its no use, we always end up exchanging i love yous. Whenever my husbands exwife wants something she put thier son up to ask my husband(she knows he will not say no to him)Here are some examples 1.she told tom to tell his dad he just wanted 1 b-day party(with her) not 2 like we normally do.the reason so my husband would "pay" for the expensive place she wanted to have tom party at(he all ready pays more than the court ordered)2.She had tom call and ask his dad to buy "sport stuff" for school(the court told her he did not need to pay this as it comes out of the child support) now these are just a few things she has pulled and it happens about 2 or 3 times a month and its not cheap stuff and we are not rich.Please i'm not an evil stepmom and my husband is not a deadbeat dad.I just feel its unfair that she uses thier son to get things the court has told her she can't ask my husband to pay for.

my husband and I just bought our first home. I told him to "sort through his clothes and things he hasn't used in the last 5 years. and he won't throw any of it out. he has clothes in 4 garbage bags he hasn't worn in 17yr( we have been married that long) he is 50yr old. and he has an old clock/radio from the 50's that belonged to his grandmother(doesn't work at all- he doesn't know how to fix it either) and an old gun rack of his dead father. he doesn't own ANY GUNS!! how to get him to part with these and not end up in a dead argument(he won't get rid of ever) he said when and if he dies BEFORE me THEN I can get rid of these things until then they are cluttering up the new "office room" and the 2 car garage that we argued over for 2 years while looking for the "right " house is full of all his things that he doesn't use. and he saved 3 outdoor grills and they are cluttering up the backyard but he says he can fix them and make 1 new one. but he doesn't have time to fix them. what to do?

At my wedding yesterday the cheif bridesmaids husband and his two mates, turned up in jeans and trainers at the reception. None of them like me, have never spoken for four years and accuse me of sponging off my wife. I had them thrown out but it didnt result in a fight, just a lot of hot air and threats. Would you have done it differently.

I'm really sorry if this causes anyone to have a bad day or anything but,
It really annoys me when people say others shouldn't have sex until they are married. I mean, sure, if you are married and you get pregnant, it's no big deal because that was probably already on your 'things to do after marraige' list.

That's fine, but some people who feel like this are abusing others who are pregnant with no husband. I just wanted to say that it is their choice so those people should leave them alone right?

Does anyone else feel this way?

ps. sorry, i just needed to say something or I'd burst. please don't take this as an offense, I am just wondering really.
