why do men anoeingly leave the toilet seat up and don't bother putting it down when they are finished when they know there are woman in the house?

The same type of question could be asked of women by guys. Why do women annoyingly leave the toilet seat down and don't bother putting it up when they are finished when they know there are men in the house?
To me, if I'm by myself then the toilet seat can be left any way I choose. But if there is a woman in the house/apartment then I think the toilet seat should be left down. And the lid to it should be left down as well. No leaving the seat down and the lid up, just to make things more convenient for her. After all, she would complain if I left the lid off of other things, so why should I leave the lid off of that.

Why do women annoyingly insist men put the seat down? Why should the seat be down for women all the time, but they guys need to lift it to use it?
In my house, we put the seat and lid down. The lid is always closed. If I need to go, I lift the lid. If he needs to go, he lifts the lid and the seat. Equal work, fair to both. Not only do we not fight over this pointless squabble, but the dogs can't drink out of the toilet. Problem solved.

You know I asked my BF this same question...he replied, well why can't you just put it up for us when you are done. Luckily there are 5 girls in the house and 3 boys (we have 6 kids), so I told him that when the boys outnumber the girls, we will leave it up, until then he and the boys have to put it (the seat AND the lid) down. I haven't had any problems since.

It's "annoyingly" and the excuse I've heard most often from males is why should they have to lift and put it down...if it's up and you need it down, put it down...if it's down and you need it up, lift it up.
Granted, the toilet (not an attractive appliance anyway) is less appealing with the seat up than down, it's really not the males issue to always make sure the seat is exactly where women need it...whoever uses the toilet should put the seat where they need it, or compromise and keep the seat and lid down at all times, except during use (lid should be down during flushing anyway, to keep microscopic particles from inside the toilet from being thrown all over your bathroom and onto your towels, toothbrush, etc.)

Why cant you leave the toilet seat up when you are finished? I leave it up for my son and hubby because if I dont and then they come in and use it with the lid down, then next time I go I have to sit in pee. So, therefore I avoid that whole situation and put it up when I am done.

Being annoyed over a toilet seat is petty and childish to me, however, i can understand why some women would think its a big deal...
I am more annoyed about him "doin the laundry" but i am the one folding and putting up the clothes... If you are gonna do the laundry, finish the laundry...

LOL... i never do that because know how you gals feel about it...
Most guys do it because they "forget" to ie they went in for wee it finished they leave it complete lack of thought... think bout when they go for food it like caveman need food do they ask you if you'd like some??
And at least it better that they put it up go into a gents they don't it all over the seat !!!!!

That's easy question , woman know that they have to sit to pee, so they should already know they have to go quicker than men.Men can hold their pee right up to the end before wetting their self, so for me I rather leave it up or down but would think its up is better than down so if I got up and had to pee so bad that I would rather not pee on the seat. But it doesn't matter, if want it down I leave it down but then I have to go more often to pee, and as a man we lazy so if I hold it up to the end then I wet myself more often and then have to change more often but I do whatever the lady likes since she is the leader of he household.
